I hate what the NBA has become but I'll still follow/root for the Cavs. The rest of them can GFT.
Cavs resigned Larry Nance to a 4yr $45M deal. What are everyone's take on this, good thing?
JR Smith doubtful for tonight, I'm looking for big games from KLove and Cedi. Will be interesting to see how defensive switching helps, can't hurt our '17/'18 squad's 29th defensive rating. Anyone else have expectations?
My season expectations are fighting for 6-8th seed in the East. I could see the team go full rebuild by Jan though if we're hanging at like the 9/10 spot in the east.
Not expecting much out of this team. 8th seed at best. They’re just not very good. Welcome to the lottery, Cleveland.

I might be wrong, but I dont think we have our pick this yr due to the Kyle Korver deal.

Well I guess it behooves the cavs to tank this season then.
They suck.
It's crazy Osman didn't get any PT last year.
I like this Sexton/clarkson/Osman/love/TT lineup
Cavs are fucking terrible.

Yep. When I heard they extended Love I was like "WTF Gilbert, this doesn't look like a rebuild/tank job." Makes no sense for them to scrap for an 8th seed, get ousted in 4 games AND lose a top 10 pick. I love winning but Gilbert needs to get realistic and set his ego aside. This is the Warriors league until they break up the band or their skills erode.
Only this I can see "fun" about this shitty season is seeing Cedi and Sexton develop.

I agree with you, but it sucks that's what the NBA has become. There's about 6-8 teams with realistic shot of winning the championship? And most of those teams are a ways behind Golden State. So what are the other 22 teams suppose to do? Just suck ass for the next couple years? Some already have been for a long time.
Also, they can extend Love and still be terrible. That might be the plan for this season.

Precisely why I'm a Cavs fan but not an NBA fan. The Warriors did it right, through drafting, but all bets were off when KD pulled his bitch move and joined them. Even back to the 80's there have always been NBA "haves and have not's" (Lakers, Celtics) but now it's pretty much a monopoly with whoever the Warriors decide to beat in the Finals.
Love's re-signing means nothing. They aren't going to win anymore or less games because he's on the team. They re-signed him because it now appears they aren't actively trying to tank when they really know that's exactly what they're doing.

When has it ever not been that way?

IMO, prior to the Warriors dynasty you weren't entering the season with an overwhelming certainty of who'd win the championship. A dynasty, that as BR mentioned, has forced a good portion of the league to just say "fuck it, we'll just be bad until they're no longer good"
