People are acting like Deshaun is aging. 3 firsts and that money is a steal if he returns as good as he was before. The Browns made a decision, and football wise it was a home run. 

I can’t stand those that say it was a rushed and poor decision. On what grounds is getting someone with Watson’s numbers and age bad business?

Not bad but I think the aging is more on the players on the team who are very good and it’s more of a “window” than an age thing.

Vick was older and his 2 years off was 2 years of his body not taking a beating.

Exactly. Chubb, Garrett, Ward, Teller, etc are all in their primes. Every year they don't have a functioning franchise QB, the clock ticks. Especially with Chubb. He's pretty special and I think we all know the shelf life on RB's is short.

Jimmy seems like he's got a lot of baggage and may be a locker room problem.  

If memory serves, while with SF, dude did hook up with a porn chick for a bit, so he could be a great role model for Watson in a "these chicks are used to seeing and getting dick" sort of way.

The biggest issue with bringing in Jimmy G is a potential locker room divide. 

From what I've heard, teammates love him and will dive on the sword for him. I know Watson's their (front office/coaches) guy but if JG starts winning (games and the locker room) it could cause a problem when Watson's ready to come back.

I don't think JG would have an issue showcasing himself as a hired gun but, with the fact I'd bet not 100% of the team is "all in" on Watson after these accusations, there could be an issue with teammates wanting to roll with him (JG) instead of DW.

11 games was probably the most Watson would agree to so his contract year counts. I thinks it’s 6 games to count as a contract year

Did a bit of digging after I made my comment about Roethlisberger. Totally retract what I said. Dude flat out raped that girl in Georgia and tried a few more times at local bars in PA. So, I guess Jack the Raper (your boy) got off super light too.

A few years later, a few sorority chicks in GA google him, find out he's in town...and also that a mental patient filed a civil suit for rape.  They proceed to follow him around to numerous bars.  DTF (that means down-to-fuck, yes she was wearing a nametag) drunken sorority girl goes willingly with him to a bathroom.  Later, her mother hen drunk and obnoxious sorority sister [note, not DTF girl] accuses Ben of rape.  Cops laugh, until said mother hen leaks it to TMZ.  DA later scolds drunk and irresponsible parties for wasting his time.  No evidence, no charges of rape.

Meanwhile....Deshaun Cosby gets accused of sexual assault by 24+ women, INCLUDING allegations of coerced oral and sexual intercourse.  DA seeks TEN indictments.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.  Watson will probably rub his dick on another unwillingly girl before the suspension is up.

Two women accused Ben.  One was a mental patient, and the second probably never happens without the first.

But with serial predators, handfuls - if not dozens - of victims come forward.  That was the case with Weinstein, Cosby...and Watson.

We can debate whether Ben was a serial sexual assaulter.  He clearly was not.  But Watson clearly is.

Pretty sad that the thing I'm most excited to see out of the Browns in the early going is their rookie kicker, Cade York. Think he's going to be the answer to what the Bengals got last year out of their rookie kicker.
