I think a big name takes this down. My 3 picks would be Speith, JT, or Scottie.

Extortion seems like a string word for that.

But I see your points.  Since I wasn’t looking forward to watching the gallery fawn all over Phil this week anyway, I’m glad he’s not there.

I despise Phil, so I am admittedly biased haha.

the weather will make this brutal today and tomorrow. seems like the kind of conditions that koepka thrives in, so at +4800 thats worth a taste. i've played this course before and it's long and has killer greens. so Zalatoris, hovland, lowry, JT, Morikawa, and Cam Smith should all have good looks. but only Lowry and Cam are dialed in with the putter right now.

my picks:

Cam Smith

Lowry

JT if he finds the putter

Koepka - long shot

i'd also add that a winning score here will be like -6 or so.

Hovland is basically a guaranteed bogey if he doesn’t hit a GIR, so naturally he will play out of his mind and win since I think he’s got no chance with these tight lies all the way to the green.

Koepka isn’t 100%. I would have a hard time choosing him this week.

Kramer Hickok was embedded in the upslope of the bunker….hit it, ball rolled back and hit him and stayed where his 8 inch deep footprint was (no penalty per rule change a few years back)…..hit again with ball invisible and rolled to top of bunker and fortunately not back into that crater of a footprint and on his 3rd shot from bunker put it into the hole lol.

Huge choke by Pereira. Needed a par to win by a stroke. Ended up with a double bogey and out of a playoff completely.

Haha, he butchered a few, but the Mito one was bad!

If I only bet on golf, I could retire. Unfortunately I also bet on basketball and football. And occasionally other sports.

Glad to see JT win. Would’ve been cool with either winning.

I’m a huge fan of multiple major winners. Obviously guys need to get the first, and Will Z is gonna be a top-10 type player for awhile so would’ve been fine. But didn’t wanna see Mito win it haha.

I had it on DVR and just finished it….holy crap that was brutal to watch Pereira. It’s rare to see these guys hit 3 straight bad shot, but he hit 4 straight when he just needed a par. My Lord and that swing lol

Want Will to win one but JT was great

Eh.. I wanted to see Pereria win. I like seeing them finish it out.. but that was a god awful swing he put on that driver.

-5 won not a bad prediction by me.

hated seeing mito fold like that. really want zalatoris to get over the hump but that putting stroke is gonna be a huge hurdle for him. JT is starting to feel like a killer, his closing rounds are always one of the better scores on the day.
