Unplayable and embedded are 2 very different things. Embedded it has broken ground and plugged, which the rules explicitly state is only to be enforced within a hazard. Outside a hazard, you are entitled to a golf ball that is not buried in the surface of the earth.

Man I know….the two guys hit the same just miss shot….one got out of it due to the embedded rule and the other didnt

I really thought Clark would crack…he showed good fire holding it together at the very end of round 3….he scrambled his ass off today

Now 2 putt young man and make everything else today a moo point.

This is what makes golf so hard to dominate….tennis you beat who is on your side of the bracket and as it goes you have to take down the best competition…..but in golf you have to beat everyone. Rory is dominant, but he didn’t win…Clark was better. Scheffler is also dominant but he hasn’t won much because it’s so hard to beat the entire field without 1 or 2 great great world class players beating you.

And then there’s prime Tiger

Congrat's to Clark ........... he wobbled a bit but made several clutch shots.  You can tell it means everything to him.

I liked the course, pretty interesting track.

He’s such a good guy….after he finished 18 and Clark sealed it he hugged him and said “your mom was with you the whole way, she’d be so proud”

If he ever puts it all together for 4 days and wins one….it’ll be incredible

As Phil Mickelson put it “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to change how the PGA Tour does things.”  I don’t know that a more noble cause has ever existed.

Tom was asking a rhetorical question I believe

I know that.  I was making fun of Phil’s rationale for his going to LIV, suggesting he was doing it to better the PGA  Tour.

Imagine what he'd do if he were even an average putter.

Yeah…imagine what everyone else could do if the rest of their game was as good as his

Rickey shot a 60 today and Cantlay went 61 at the Travelers

I wonder if these guys on the upper echelon of the tour played my par 71 course 10x….I wonder how low they could go.

On my course I think on their best day they could go

3-2-3-2-2-3-2-3-3 on the par 34 front 9 and 3-3-2-3-3-3-4-3-3 on par 37 back 9

53 on my course with 10 rounds of golf to get their best round….55 tops.

They could drive 6 of the par 4’s (potentially)….could run it up within 25/30 yards on 3 others. I think they’d hit sand wedges into two par 5’s and maybe a regular wedge, maybe 9 iron into the other.

Wedges into every par 3

My other course I think the same 53-55 but only 1 drivable par 4…same results I feel.

So weird that he gets a pass for “not closing” when others get labeled chokers (Rory). He’s been this freaking good T2G, and has 2 wins. It’s actually harder to achieve that than like 8 wins at this point lol.

Also shows his consistency AND how hard it is to beat everyone else in the field when they are just marginally behind you in all the areas he’s great at.
