Looks like a lot of PGA guys forgot that, as well.

I just cant get behind a guy choking when he was up 2 strokes after 3. If there wasnt weather, making it seem like Brooks was up 5 strokes for 3 straight days, no one would call this a choke. He was up a bunch after his 2nd, and people acted like Jon Rahm didnt have an entire round still to play. He ended up 2 after Round 2 and 3 and it only seemed like an insurmountable lead because he held a big lead overnight with the second round not finished and then the same with the 3rd round only starting Saturday and not getting close to finishing.

It helps that Rahm is a likable guy. I was happy for him.  Brooks always seems pissed about something.  He’s hard for me to warm up to.

Agree.

I think Rahm's 35 on the back nine in Round 2 was pretty amazing, given the elements, and a big key to the win.

Feel terrible?  No.   I’m sorry the guy can’t be competitive because he’s fun to watch when he is.  I’m glad he wasn’t killed or injured worse in his car wreck.  But that was not just a random “accident” that befell him.  The way he was driving and either passed out or asleep, he could have easily killed someone.

Not sure.  He caused the auto accident due to his actions.  Fortunate to be able to walk as much as he has since the accident.

For probably the greatest player of all-time to not get the solid opportunity to break the majors' record is certainly a bit of a downer, but it is what it is.

I’m sorry for the guy too.  I’m selfishly sorry because I love pulling for him and watching him compete.  He’s the most dominant athlete I’ve ever seen in my lifetime especially 1999-2009 - no comparison).  I just don’t feel sorry for him in a way that I would if something unfortunate had happened to him by chance.

I feel robbed we didnt get to see him in his "second prime" much. But I dont feel bad for him his life is an dissaray. Its all his own doing.

How familiar are all of you with addiction?  I do not ask that condescendingly.

Agreed.  He was still on fire in 2009 when things imploded.  It was like MJ never coming back after his first retirement.

All due respect to Nicklaus who is still golf’s major champion, but Tiger in his prime was the best there ever was.

Anyone planning on going to the memorial this year. I will probably go Friday Saturday Sunday depending on the weather. Last year in Texas I could walk to the Byron this year I have about a 5 minute Uber to the Memorial from home.
