Fight erupted at Bengals - Rams practice today with Aaron Donald, taking a break from choking other players, instead this time swinging a helmet at other players multiple times.

Can the Browns fans (with Myles Garrett’s suspension being relevant) and I unite that Donald should also be suspended?

Yes, it’s bullshit and the media can also go fuck themselves after their pearl clutching two years ago.

The NFL won’t do shit though. Goodell cherry picks who he wants to punish and hands out arbitrary lengths of punishment.  Nothing new.

Talking heads (media) just laughing this off because it was "practice." Booger McFarland, who burned Garrett at the stake when his incident happened, yucking it up on social media. Media will gloss over things like this for Donald & Robert Kraft but if you play for certain teams, not so much.

To answer your question, two helmets, DOUBLE the punishment.

Zero chance

It was Cincy, not Pittsburgh, so doubtful.

Sure, Garrett hears the n-word just like Watson hears "yes yes yes".  Hope they have a hearing specialist in CLE.

Dude, you made a dumb joke. I made a dumb joke back. Calm down. I don’t know why the Cleveland Browns bother you so much.

Booger and company can fuck off with the slippery slope crap. Like we didn’t just sit there and watch the league give Sue Robinson weeks to come up with a punishment for Watson, then do something else instead.

You don’t want to interfere with the shoving matches that inevitably happen at every practice, fine. But I don’t think it’s dangerous to get involved when a player starts using a helmet as a weapon. Especially when you previously suspended Garrett six games for doing it.

But yeah, we’ll wait for the Rams to discipline him. I’m sure he’ll be suspended for the prime time game against the Bills in two weeks 🙄

NFL can’t punish for practice. I think Donald is dirty (the video a couple weeks ago showed his practicing grabbing OL throats Vs the rookie on the team) He’s just as bah as Suh

Is it that they can’t discipline, or just never have?

It sounds like the punishment has to be dealt with by the team, if it happened in practice. By that stupid logic, apparently Roethlisberger & Watson should've waited until practice to commit their transgressions so their respective teams would have to deal with it (eye roll).

It does sound like there's a lot of outcry for the league to do something about Donald, except for ESPN, because it's "part of the game."

It's just more arbitrary bullshit from Goodell.

Just realized the Seattle QB competition was Geno Smith and Drew Lock. That's a "say you're tanking without saying you're tanking" sort of thing that makes me think they're not gonna be talking about their 12th man advantage this season.

After last season, and at his age, can Pete Carroll afford to tank a year?

The 49ers are keeping Garoppolo for the year? And with the no trade clause?

Also can't franchise him after the year's over. Smart move on their part. If Lance busts, they are ready to win.

I don't know if he can afford to, but if Geno Smith is the #1 and Drew Lock is the #2, I can't imagine that he'll have much of a choice in things unless they happen to have the best D and running game in the league. I'd say comparable to Baltimore when they won it all with Dilfer, but honestly, Smith/Lock make NFL Dilfer look like NCAA Dilfer.

Oh, there's no question they're gonna suck. Kind of think they were banking on snagging Jimmy G when he became available this year. Oops...

Were their names really in the mix as far as actually making offers (as opposed to "they have to be, don't they?" speculation) for any of the guys who were considered to be moving. Jimmy G and Baker would both be noticeable upgrades over what they are going with, but they didn't get either and I don't recall hearing that they even really tried. That's what makes me wonder if they're tanking. I mean, I read that Baker thought he'd wind up there and a conditional fifth isn't exactly the highest bar to clear, so...
