JOK and the fastest guy in draft (and maybe NFL now). Yes please. Love what they’ve done for 2 off-seasons in a row now!
They have the 5th & 8th pick, along with 132 in the 4th round. A few names available are:
EDGE Elerson Smith, N. Iowa
DT Tommy Togiai, Ohio St.
DT Bobby Brown, Texas A&M
DT Tyer Shelvin, LSU
DT Darius Stills, WVU
S Hamsah Nasirildee, FSU
S Jamar Johnson, Indiana
EDGE Jordan Smith, UAB

As an Indiana grad, Jamar Johnson is someone I thought might go at the end of the 3rd. Not the best at anything, but an absolute ballhawk who has that quality of always being in the right spot at the right time to make the turnover.
Love what the Browns are doing so far.
I can’t remember the last time I felt this way, but I really can’t complain about this draft or off-season.
I think Berry is a sorcerer or a witch. Their target in the 1st was Newsome with the intent of drafting JOK if Newsome got picked ahead of 26. They got both. Their VP of Player Personnel said "no way, no how we thought we'd get both." He adds, perhaps the fastest player in the league, to Stefanski's offense (probably only plays 10-12 plays per game: bubble screens, reverses, 9 routes) in Schwartz, depth on both the OL/DL in Hudson (could eventually replace Conklin) & Togiai and potential special teamers in Fields and LeCounte. Felton from UCLA could be their Curtis Samuel type.
Mack Wilson & Jojo Natson can probably pack their bags.
A couple of things of interest to me, just like Baker Mayfield likely came out of the womb with a chip on his shoulder, I expect the same from Newsome, who said he "should've been drafted higher" and "felt he was the best CB in the draft" and JOK who was projected in some mocks to go as high as 10-12.
I'm extremely excited about the prospects of these additions, both draftees & free agents, in Joe Woods' defense. If they have JOK, Ronnie Harris, John Johnson & Grant Delpit (assuming healthy) on the field at the same time, how does a QB read that defense? They're essentially clones. It's not like you have a slow BJ Goodson where you can throw over the top of him and he can't cover TE's. A QB is going to have no idea what the Browns will do. Will JOK & Harrison drop into coverage? Will they blitz? It's just fun/exciting to think about.
On a side note, after this draft, I expect them to try to bring back Sheldon Richardson, or another FA, because Togiai won't be the fix they need.
I’m happy!
Can Schwartz return kicks? It's been too long since we have had a weapon back there.
Browns have won a bidding war for UDFA Marvin Wilson (DT-Florida St). Wilson was projected as a 1st rounder prior to the 2020 season and a 3rd rounder right before this draft but went undrafted. He's one of the top players, if not the top player, to go undrafted. He's a run stuffer with "meh" pass rush skills but if his head's on straight could be in the rotation immediately.
And with this I think the chances of them bringing back Sheldon Richardson have decreased.

Why did he fall?

Heard he had a poor Senior Bowl week. Believe they are going to have to motivate him a bit.
They've also signed Illinois St DE Romeo McKnight who had a bunch of other offers.

Found out a little more on the back story on this guy. He may have dropped due to motivational issues and another item.
One, he had offers from 8-10 big time college programs but chose FSU because they had "the best honey fried chicken" on their campus.
Two, he's expressed that he's interested in becoming a Colin Kaepernick-like black activist. Nothing necessarily wrong with that but it may have teams shy away.
Browns have signed DT Malik McDowell. He was drafted in the 2nd round by the Seahawks in the 2017 draft, got in an ATV accident and hasn't played an NFL down. Besides the accident, he's had a couple off the field incidents and was sentenced to 11 months in jail in 2019. Sounds like the Tribe trying to find lightning in a bottle.

Maybe its worth it to pay McDowell a few dollars for camp time to make Wilson work for his spot?
JOK dropped in the draft due to a supposed heart condition. Believe he's been cleared. And, of course, bitter bitch Tony Grossi railing on the Browns organization for not divulging that to the media.
Browns sign 9 year veteran DT Damion Square. Probably safe to assume the Sheldon Richardson ship has sailed. Thought they might bring him back.
Thats about 27 DT now. May the best man win!

I think that's their mindset. Don't think they value that position as much as others and hope to have someone serviceable to stop the run on 1st & 2nd down. Let Myles (and hopefully Clowney) loose on 3rd.
ESPN really pushing the Aaron Rodgers to the Browns possibility.

Nope. Not enough cheese to go with that "whine." Dealt with it long enough when Lebron was here.
