Hearing a lot about a trade down next Thursday. Not really a ton of value where they are picking. The part that sucks is if they trade down, they already have 9 picks this year. They aren't going to likely keep all 9 on the roster and Berry (historically with his analytical ways) doesn't trade up. Unless they trade way back and stockpile higher draft picks next year?
Either way, I likely will watch the first 10-15 picks then go to bed. Have no interest in staying up until pick 26 only to see them trade back to the 2nd round.
For the first time all year I looked at a mock yesterday and it had Browns taking Jeremiah Owusu-Koramora. I was impressed all the games I watched of him at ND. Good speed and makes plays. Seems like LB is still a position of need, so if he’s there I’d rather they just keep the pick and draft him.
I'm not sure if Berry considers LB a position of need or that Woods' defense even requires it with what he's running. I could see more hybrid safeties on the field than LB's with only one to zero LB's on the field during passing downs.
No shock here but Baker & Ward's 5th year options were picked up.
Downtown Cleveland getting ready for Thursday's draft...
Draft day is here. I pity the ducks, I mean people, that will be venturing downtown for this.
Anyone you really want and anyone you'd hate to see picked?
I'd love to see them get Kwity Paye or Surtain (both unlikely) and would hate to see Oweh, Tryon, Barmore or Rousseau drafted.
OBR's top 50 prospects for the Browns...
Solid pick by the Browns last night. Would be thrilled if they traded up for JOK in the 2nd.

Got to imagine Jax is taking several call about the #33, probably most for JOK

I'd love for the Browns to go after him if the price is reasonable. It would be a big upgrade for us at LB. I'm fine with giving up some of our picks to move up because it's unlikely that we will have roster room for 9 rookies.

Yeah, they don't need all of those picks. He'd compliment that defense in that he's more of a hybrid LB/S who can go sideline to sideline and keep track of Lamar, Josh Allen & Mahomes. Plus they will run a lot of 4-2-5, 4-1-6 and 4-7 defenses in Woods' system.

There could be a run on offense, especially OL, early in the 2nd so he might slide a bit more but doubtful.

Got’em

I like it, and we only had to swap third round pick for a fourth to move up.
Got Heem!! Good pick.
Move back 24 spots, to move up 7 and get the guy who you contemplated at 26. I don’t know the “draft math”, but that seems very good.
I would be a fan of Nico Collins in the 3rd round.

I think the Texans knew the Browns were interested and leapfrogged them. The Browns do get their Tyreke Hill/Mecole Hardman type speed in Schwartz.
Side note on JOK, it's believed that Berry had some intel that Pittsburgh wanted him so they traded up. If so, even sweeter.
