I have no idea what teams are playing and when. Next weekend there’s a few games on. There’s usually a solid game on Labor Day primetime. This year it’s BYU - Navy. That about sums up 2020.

Anyways, things officially kicked off tonight I guess with Austin Peay vs Central Arkansas, which I’ve watched a lot of oddly enough.

2,000 fans in the stands for this game. I wonder how many more there would have been without Covid...

Just posted that too. I can’t search threads for shit on my phone. They’re making it tight w/ 8 games in 8 weeks and no byes, but I’ll take anything. Was Wade the only significant OSU player to opt out?

And Wyatt Davis (OL, projected late first-rounder).

This is going to be very tight to get in the 8 games.  But I'm glad it's happening.  The incompetence of the Big Ten's handling of this entire thing is so staggering.  They'll hang their hat on the new testing options as the big change that allowed it to go forward.  In reality, not a damn thing has changed since August 10th when they originally made this decision.  If they'd just admit they completely overreacted and are correcting themselves, I'd have a lot of respect for them.

Oh well, Buckeyes are back.  In light of the fact that Michigan's president was a huge cause of this debacle, I hope the Buckeyes absolutely demolish them again this year.

Hey U-M, your program is no longer relevant.  Yes you ruled the leather helmet era, but that period has officially closed.

BO: Those who stay will be champions.

PROSPECT: Wow Bo.  You stayed a long time.  How many championships did you win?

BO: None

Wonder if Wade will change his mind now? Is that even allowed?

Nm....it is. As long as he doesn't hire an agent.

Saw an article a bit ago where he said he's currently undecided and is hoping to make a decision by tomorrow, I think.

Man is there anyone pushing the 'Rona = death narrative more than the political sports columnists in USA Today's sports section?

The Brennan person who called it the saddest day in B1G history seems to be a really miserable and horrible person. I couldn't imagine being a sports writer who actively hated the fact sports were still around.

With as outspoken as his dad was, I’m surprised he hasn’t announced he’s back yet. Dad pushed for weeks and then he opts out right before an announcement.

She's awful. I saw her article indicated she grew up in Ohio, but attended every Michigan home game - shocker. She's also able to work into most of her college related pieces that she went to Northwestern for undergraduate and graduate school, that she's a visiting professor at Northwestern and that she sits on Northwestern's board of regents.   You'd think half the players will end up dead reading her column. Never mind that this won't happen and that these kids actually want to play.

You're right, a thoroughly miserable person.

She called the Big Ten's decision to play the "darkest day in the conference's history".  I guess Jerry Sandusky wasn't so bad after all.

Brennan is from Toledo. I’ve met her quite a few times and she is actually really pleasant. But goodness her takes are awful and always glass half empty. She tries to use her platform to take down those in charge.

She is so predictively negative and cynical. I don't know why USA Today decided that sports page readers are interested in her woke political takes. A very negative person and an obvious elitist.

Sounds like Pac12 and Mountain West trying to get back to playing soon as well.
