Also, I googled gunsplaining and this is the first thing that pops up.  Excuse me while I LMAO. So, you're ignorant on the topic and don't know what you are talking about,  but you are being bullied when someone credible corrects you?

Do you have any examples of the shit that is being said to Dana?

If you look at Dana Loesch or Chris Loesch twitter they usually retweet most of the crap.

I guess I had never heard of Shannon Watts before either but she is another moron.

And finally, LOL Baltimore schools are protesting (paid by the mayor to go march in DC too, yes THAT mayor from Balt) and they were chanting something about no ARs. Is it just me, or should they be more worried about their skyrocketing murder number from pistols?

Media taking a page out of Boogie’s page and complaining about “gunsplaining”. Take 5 minutes and learn correct language when trying to steal personal freedoms away.

i know I’ve mentioned it before, but you should see the vile things the party of tolerance says to Dana Loesch. It’s disgusting, yet I see no one coming out in the left and vilifying it. They’re too busy defending Farrakhan for his anti semitism.

Haha.  I don't think my influence has quite that far a reach ;-)  I have no time for jackasses that act like this.  They're not exclusive to the left or the right.  Anyone who makes controversial stances will find that out.  But they continually hijack the argument.

Redirecting the bump stock discussion from the meme thread to here.

About those bump stocks, and the AR being the only rifle that can accommodate them, therefor the AR needs to be banned. I guess it's a good thing that Paddock guy has never heard of youtube, amirite HOF?

Look, I don't think it's an invalid point to say that you don't need to know every intricacy about a gun in order to have an opinion about gun control.

However ...

If you're trying to make a point that a particular gun should be further restricted BECAUSE of a particular aspect of the gun, it's a reasonable ... even necessary ... expectation that you're correct on that aspect of the gun.

IF you believe that an AR-15 should be banned because it is an assault rifle, it should actually have to be one.  If it's not, but you say it is, calling you out for not knowing that is not "gunsplaining."  It's expecting you to have real facts to defend your position.

Is gunsplaining seriously now a term being used?  LOL.

Also, no shocker with Dana Loesch.  It's a classic tactic from the left.  Anyone they deem evil based on their arbitrary standards that fit their agenda, deserves to be attacked with the gloves off.  Dana works for the NRA, the left has deemed the NRA an entity more evil than Hitler and thus any attack Dana receives is justified.  They are starting to use this same tactic against Shapiro.  They are starting to deem Shapiro a white supremacist, and therefore it's also ok to attack him and call him a nazi even though he is a jew...

I've seen the Dana Loesch bashing on Twitter. Quite vile. But she's taking it like a trooper, really. You can't say anything about one of the women's march leaders who calls for worldwide jihad and associates herself with Farrakhan without complete meltdowns, but you can say anything you want about a woman who wants gun rights preserved lol!

Quoting HOF from the memes thread, trying to move that discussion over here since he can't read, apparently.

Obviously when shooting into a large group of people, accuracy isn't as necessary.  But, to be able to point and shoot in a general area, you can not do from the belt, unlike a bump stock.

You can can do it from the belt, and, given the video above of bump firing from the shoulder, you can definitely do it without a bump stock. And going back to Paddock, since anti-gunners seem to be super reactionary to specific uses of an object, firing from above the crowd like he was, he could have done just enough damage with a belt loop. As you say, shooting into a crowd like that accuracy isn't as important as rate of fire.

The video below shows pretty good control of bump firing from the belt.

Maybe we should start talking about these high capacity assault web pages.  We need some common sense 1st Amendment restrictions.  You don't need 240 characters on Twitter. Think about the children.

Nope.  One of the topics I don't touch with the majority of people I'm connected to on the Internet.

Looks like the second one has been taken down.  The fourth one is pretty hateful, and the other two are just ridiculous.

Speaking of gunsplaining:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2018/03/06/the-nra-and-its-allies-use-jargon-to-bully-gun-control-supporters/?utm_term=.73881412bdd0

like_that actually posted that article in his next-to-last post in this thread.

As I said above, I don't think a person has to know the intricacies about guns in order to have a perspective on gun control.

However, if your perspective is informed by a particular aspect of the gun that is inaccurate (ie, AR-15s are 'Assault Rifles' because they start with 'AR'), it's not only reasonable to rebut by pointing out the absence of knowledge exhibited; it's even important to do so.

If your reason for wanting the AR-15 banned is because you believe it is fully automatic, it's not bullying or 'gunsplaining' to bring up the fact that it isn't fully automatic.  It's simply holding you to the shared demonstrable truths in our physical universe.

I do find it a little strange, however, that when the issue of guns comes up, demonstrating some level of expertise makes you a bully instead of making you more credible to speak to the actual threat posed.

A: "Legalizing gay marriage will lead to incest and polygamy."
B: "Actually, the statistical data from elsewhere in the country doesn't indicate that at all."
A: "STOP GAYSPLAINING AND BULLYING ME!"

Long story short, the gun-grabbers have zero chance in a fact-based debate on the topic, so they resort to made up terms, and then when called on it, pretend that their misstatements of fact are mere semantics. When you correct their errors, those made from ignorance, or those intentionally made to incite, they make up a word for that as well.
