Dear God.
I probably haven't spent more than $75-100 on a single ticket before.
Prior to today, I think mine was around $200 to see the Eagles in the 90's. In about 45 minutes I think I am going to spend around $800 a piece for goddamn Shawn Mendes tickets. I can't believe I am going to pay this for someone I don't even care about seeing. Guess I better become a fan, so I won't feel like I am completely wasting my money.

counting my court appearance and Disturbing the Peace fine, i think i was in for like 1200 for a metallica concert in columbus in 2003

Who? And why?
I paid $155 for 2 tickets to see Garth. That was probably the most, so around $75 a ticket.

It's not by choice. My daughter and wife conspired to use my own words against me. I always say that I am cheap, except when it comes to anything that makes memories. So somehow, it went from buying simple tickets to the concert, to buying VIP tickets, because meeting my daughter's favorite singer will make a lasting memory.

Garth is really good at keeping his tickets affordable.
I must be cheap. Highest so far is $80 apiece ($69 each plus svc charge) for Mannheim Steamroller's Christmas show for this coming December. I didn't blink because I've always wanted to see them, but will probably be the last nationally-known concert I ever go to.
$800 each for Shawn Mendes? Ouch, but brutus161 must love his daughter very much. I can relate to the "priceless memory". Took my wife to see the Tournament of Roses parade and the Rose Bowl a few years ago, a dream of hers since she was a kid. My wallet still hurts, but she's still smiling.

Short of a Beatles reunion - with both John and George present - I wouldn't be able to swing this. I don't know crap about Shawn Mendes, but I hope you get to liking his music and form a man crush on him real fast.
Mendes has some catchy songs. And the VIP/meeting him backstage being factored into that definitely makes the price a lot more "reasonable". It's still a fortune for what will likely amount to less than 30 minutes of "meeting him", but 15 year old Laley23 would've loved my parents for eternity and been on my best behavior for months if I had this same package for Britney or J-Lo dangling in front of me in 8th grade. Maybe the best behavior for month is worth the $800 lol.
Well the VIP was $650 instead of $800
Doesn't matter, because they sold out before I could buy one. Ended up with floor seats anyway. Daughter is still happy, and my wallet is happier.
brutus when adding tickets to his cart:
Music Festivals were like $500 but that’s as 4 days of music
Individual is probably $200 a ticket which I’ve done 3x
One was Paul McCartney about 10-12 rows back
Queen where we were front row and second row back to back seats
21 Pilots and we were like 40 rows back but my wife wanted to go
If I had the chance I would good money to be front row for The Killers a band both my wife and I love live
At some point we will probably see Lady Gaga and that will break the bank
I think $150 for 2nd row Keith Urban tickets for my daughter
Back in 98 spent $80 apiece on Celine Dion. Gave my wife $20 to buy a program ….came back with no change and program was just like 8 pages of Celine lol
I just paid $150 x 4 yesterday for Tool tickets.

Oh, damn. Didn't realize they were touring.

They are playing in Columbus and Cleveland in March. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow. I am in the Tool Army, so I got a presale code. I'll be at the Cbus show.
What are the cheapest seats? I assume $150 is a decent seat. Are the presale codes unique?

Looks like upper bowl at Nationwide is $65. My $150 tix are 11th row on the floor. The code was unique to me. Limit 4 tickets.
General public tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10AM.
Got two lower bowl tickets for Tool in C-Bus. $125 apiece $150 apiece counting ticket fees. Got pre sale being a Tool Army member. tried all day yesterday but ticketmaster was having issues, got them today with no problem. VERY HAPPY.
$293
Just got floor seats for Tool in Denver in January. Goddamn.
