Ohio - born and raised

California - So Cal was a fun place to be for a few months, just too crowded for a small town boy.

North Carolina - my adopted home state, most of my wife's family is here.

If we don't stay in NC, the most likely next state would be the mountains of Tennessee

It was ok. I was fresh out of college and moved for my first job and didn't know a whole lot of people, but the downtown area is nice with some good restaurants/ bars.  I probably wouldn't choose to live there again, but I would if for some reason a job popped up.

What part of CLT are you in? My MIL lives in Belmont and we have some friends in Ballantyne, which are both really nice.

Born in Fort Wayne, IN. Never lived there, however. Raised in Perrysburg, OH. Bloomington, IN for college. Toledo, OH for ~5 years out of college. Raleigh, NC for ~5 years. Been in Downers Grove (Chicago), IL for about 3 years now. We will be here (Chicagoland, not necessarily DG) until kids are done with college, at least. So another 20ish years.

At that point, I’d like to get back to NC or out west, probably Phoenix area, but open to anywhere warm year round out west. Don’t want to move south unless it’s NC, or maybe SC depending on the city.

Have lived in Orrville, Ohio my whole life, with stints in Wooster and Ashland for college.

Would like to live part time in either Charlotte area or Clarksville, Tennessee area.

Ohio - born and raised, officially left after college
Kentucky - college and 1.5 years post-college
South Dakota - grad school and work for two years
Ohio - grad school and work for two years
Kansas - work for nearly 4 years
Kentucky - work for 4 years come March

Would love to live overseas, but doubt that will happen with our closeness to family. Maybe when the kids are out of the house. I imagine we'll be in Northern Kentucky for awhile, but who knows with the job. We like it here and would prefer not to keep uprooting the kids.

We considered Belmont. We are in Cornelius, about a half hour shot up I-77 near Lake Norman.

Eastern, OH (Ohio Valley).

Columbus

NYC, Queens for 3 years, Brooklyn for 7.

Denver upcoming, more specifically Wheat Ridge/Berkeley area. I don't really care about downtown or Denver proper, I'm there for the burbs.

Next up? I have no idea. Boulder would be cool, I love it there.

I have a friend who lives in Bozeman who raves about it, looks amazing. I've always wanted to give Europe a try, actually working there, but that ship may have sailed.
