I'll add "The Departed" to the list. Agree with "The Shawshank Redemption."
And I don't care what anyone says; any of "The Pirates of the Caribbean" can be added to at least my list of "the perfect film." Those movies are a fantastic mix of adventure, comedy, great effects and brilliant acting. People critique them hard and I don't get it. I've rarely left a theater more entertained than I have after any of those POTC movies.

There are like 4 movies that every time i see them on TV i will stop and watch without hesitation. Any of those 4 would be acceptable to me.
1. Godfather
2. the Departed
3. Tropic Thunder
4. Shawshank Redemption

I actually saw something last night that reminded me of this movie. While it’s not a masterpiece it is a movie that I watch every so often and enjoy each time. The Boondocks Saints.
