Total after the storm rolled through:

1.15" rain.

MAYBE 0.2" ice

.75" snow (it's nearly done snowing so it may grow)

Also, my kids have been remote for the last 2 days. yesterday they certainly could've gone without issue and today if the roads are as good elsewhere as they are in my township, they could've gone with a 2 hour delay.

We ended up getting a lot in Chicago. Storm shifted north and turned out 5-7 into 11+. Toledo (parents) got the opposite with the shift. Went from 18-20 and ended up around 9-10 after 10 hours of rain instead of snow. I think maybe 15 miles south probably got the full 20 based on radar. Slight north or us in Chicago only got 1 inch. Storm was crazy heavy in parts but very thin.

In Texas we got 1/2 of inch and an inch of snow. I’ve seen 3-4 cars driving in the past two days. We all just stay inside and wait for it to melt.

We got a mess of rain, 1/4 inch of ice, 1/4 inch of sleet, 1 1/2 inches of snow. A mess and a level 3 for a while but no one without electric so all is good.

65 miles west at my school they had more ice, 4 inches of snow and power out all over the place…..school Monday might be up in the air

Got about half of what they projected.  snowed for a good 24 hours but it was more sleet then snow.

We got probably 10” - western suburb of Cleveland.  Snow blowing today was awesome.

I got my hair cut yesterday morning. On the drive up I was able to go 55 on the highway. On the way back it was 20-25 and someone going to other direction lost control and was mangled up with a big road sign. It escalated quickly.

Forecast was about 6-8 inches near Delaware. We ended up with about 4-5 inches, but more ice underneath it.

I didn't venture out in it, but roads did not look fun.

Dog loved it today and she ran her butt off in the yard.

Went out tonight to pick up dinner and most of the roads were still shit.

East side of Cincinnati. Roads still aren't great. Most local businesses closed Thursday and Friday.

Late Friday on I-270 Outerbelt in Columbus, still only one lane totally clear on south and east side.  Folks driving 25 mph on clear pavement

At my house, used a garden spade with a flat edge to lift up the compacted ice and clear the walkway from our porch..  Wore me out.   Wife was inside making sure my life insurance was paid up, and looking to see if I'd dropped yet.

Last year down this way my son and I shared that same garden spade and worked our asses off…..this year though the way it compacted that same spade isn’t working nearly as well so I’ll just be waiting on the sun.

Bump.

Everyone ready for arctic air? Going to be 41 degrees when I go into work tonight and -2 when I leave in the morning. Wild. Can’t wait.

I just don’t want to lose electricity. Hopefully no one does.

And if people do lose power….those electric workers are heroes out in this upcoming weather.

If the cars start and I can watch tv…pretty much vacation.

Agreed.

Was listening to the local station and they said they expect the Browns games to be the most viewed at home game of the year, with tons of empty seats. I know a few fools going but I'd heard 60 mph winds with -10 wind chill for the game.

Last I saw Chicago was going to be the coldest at kickoff, slightly worse than Cleveland.

Think guys will still be out “warming up” with their shirts off? Or will it finally be too cold for that.
