Postponement

We all do it, we postpone things for whatever reason, but those things should get done at some point.

Taxes I wait to the last minute … I have everything ready just not in the mood to do them.

I have a garage door sensor that needs to be replaced broken for two years.... less than $10.00 part and 10 minutes repair job.

We have in our basement older outlets with only the 2 plug sockets (4 outlets), I bought the three plug ground type outlets to replace them, two years ago, have never gotten to the point of installation

What are some of items, repairs or obligations that you have postponed over the years?

I'm a big procrastinator when it comes to house projects. I could be doing a decent chunk of the work that's going on in our basement right now, but it's worth paying someone to do it right now.

I do plan on "finishing" our garage myself, so that will probably be the next big project I drag my feet on.

I suck at doing things timely. Outdoor outlets don't work due to something tripping the GFCI (a few months now). Slightly scraped the side of my wife's car and hasn't been fixed in a couple of years. Have wanted a fence for over a year and just got around to calling for quotes.

I agree on the taxes .........always wait until the last minute ........of course, I am not going to give the govt my $ any sooner than I have to.  I did just program 2 vehicles to the garage door opener using the home-link buttons in the car..........wife has the button in her car and never knew -  she was happy.  Basement needs another cleaning so I can get access to my weight bench .....and of course working out again has been about a 20 year procrastination  :)

We had a small hole in our dining room ceiling (miscalculated when drilling in a clost for running coaxial) that I didn't fix until we put our house on the market. It was there a good 6-7 years. Only took about 3 minutes to patch it, though I did end up painting the entire ceiling in that room after patching it.

Thanks belly for this thread as it reminded me of something I've put off for a  month plus.   Kept for getting to finish my claim on my debit card fraud. So this made me remember and call to get the last 800 bucks I needed to claim.
