I don't think Ep 1-3 are considered universally popular

Dear lord, you're overthinking this.

Probably an unpopular opinion but i think clone wars > episode 1-3 > episode 4-6

I have not watched rebels.

IMHO people remember 4-6 as being better than they are because at the time they were cutting edge. But now the acting was meh. (Luke is a whiny bitch just like Anakin.) The fights were terrible. The special affects are meh. Vader being Luke's father was a good twist. Other than that I think they were overrated.  And people hold all the new movies to an unreachable standard as well. They can't just watch a movie and enjoy it.

I also think "To kill a mockingbird" was very over rated. I get that it was a big deal that a black man could be believed over a white man and it was racially significant but I thought the movie was pretty damn boring.

I have not watched citizen kane or a clockwork orange and I really have no desire.

A couple years ago one of my friends was over around Christmas time and we were watching Home Alone 2. He said "I've actually never seen the first or second Home Alone but I have seen the third one a few times." Idk what's more bizarre about that statement, the first part or the second.

Citizen Kane, Gone with the Wind, Goonies, Gremlins, Schindler's List (the original one)

I didn't become anything close to a cinephile until the last few years anyway.
