We are coming up on the holiday swing. Does your family have any unique traditions that you do this time of year? I'll go first.

Every Christmas Eve, everyone in my family gets our own personal "lovely cheese pizza" and watches Home Alone.

Used to when my grand parents and parents were alive. Now we have none. For a few years now my sister has been making pasta for Christmas events. Maybe she's trying to start another one.

We've got a few that are still hanging on that I'll post as I think of them.

Number one: mom always made coffee cake for breakfast on Christmas morning before opening gifts. It's not always on Christmas morning, but whichever day we're staying with her and opening gifts she still makes the same coffee cake recipe.

Oh wow…my grandma made coffee cake every now and then. She passed away 20+ years ago and I had forgotten all about coffee cake even being a thing.

I loved that brown sugary goodness

Coffee cake is one of my top cakes. Highly underrated.

Wife and I started a few ones over the years.

We watch White Christmas at least once just before Christmas. The part from the general walking down the stairs in uniform to the end gets me every time.

We make Tom and Jerry's and Molly Hogan's cocktails on Christmas eve.

Our stockings are filled with lotto tickets and one gag or child gift from a joke from this year.
