Because of a recent reference I made that somebody else picked up on, it got me wondering if anybody else knew what it was about.

So, who games, what console do you use/which generation, etc.

I've been using my Nintendo Switch a lot lately, because of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. I'm just obsessed with it lately, spending more time on it than I should. I have only completed two areas so far and just started in the Zora Kingdom today. It is just like Breath of the Wild in that there are all the side quests and so many koroks and so many areas to explore. It's too early in this game to make a fair comparison, but I do like the temples more than I did the divine beasts of BotW.

I also have my old SNES, which I break out every few years.

I don't have any gaming systems other than an emulator running a bunch of NES games on a Raspberry Pi. I've been thinking of getting another Switch. I used to have one but sold it a couple years ago.

Get a steamdeck and then you could emulate on the go

PS4 Pro. Right now, mainly playing Dragon Age Inquisition and The Surge. With the former, it's the third game of that series. Played the first two on the XBox 360. With the latter, I've become addicted to Souls sorts of games and their general high level of difficulty. This isn't the best of those, but it's still enjoyable. And a lot shorter than, say, Elden Ring was. That game ate up a huge chunk of 2022.

Packed away the PS4 when I moved during Covid, never got it out again. I don't really miss it. COD and FIFA were my go tos. I dabbled with Rocket League some.

I play FIFA on PS5 every now and then we we visit my GF's brother. That's it.

Not sure if the wife and kids are getting me an Xbox or PS5 for Father’s Day. I basically want it to play the new Diablo IV coming out without having to steal the kids’ systems.

I haven’t played video games since I had completely maxed out my character on Diablo 3.

I played the first Zelda on Switch as my wife has one she never uses. Haven’t played the new one yet. Love Zelda games.

Finally made time today to finish the Zora region and got the sage (Zelda: TotK). These sages can sometimes get on my nerves because they sort of crowd the character, but they do come in handy for some battles. I just wish I had more time to play this game, there's so much to explore.
Also, I'm tired of transporting koroks lol! I think BotW made better usage of them.

I've got the 4 basic regions done. Going back through a lot of areas right now to get all the koroks, then I will go finish the Depths. I've only got part of the sky islands done so I will need to finish those two. In the meantime I have enough food and monster guts to open a supermarket and a nice rupee cache.

As for judging how far through the game I am, or you are, I am not sure. I haven't looked anything up to get an idea. Perhaps I'm halfway-ish.

LoZ is probably my favorite series of any game I've ever played, from my first Nintendo to the Switch.

Agreed with your last sentence.

I played all of them except the gameboy 4 swords series and the newest Tears of the Kingdom.

My favorites are actually Link to the Past on SNES and Ocarina of Time on N64, the way LttP made you figure out things traveling back and forth between light and dark and then Ocarina did with young/old Link was just brilliant.

Breath of the Wild was fun, just not as good as Ocarina in my opinion. When I get tired of Diablo IV I will buy ToK for my wife's switch that she never uses and play it.

Got the sky islands finished and the depths. But those damn koroks! I looked it up and there are 1k of them. Yeah, no. I'm done searching them out and I guestimate that I've only got about 2/3 of them. I'm completely bored with searching them out. Pretty sure I have enough equipment slots lol!

Thanks to PS Plus, I've gotten into the Assassin's Creed games. Played through the trilogy of II, Brotherhood and Revelations a while ago and now am a fair ways (Sequence 5) into III. Which is Revolutionary War period and adds to the mix my "favorite" part of games like Red Dead Redemption and GTA V: How you can be exploring and next thing you know, a wild animal just ripped out your throat.

I’m taking a bit of a break, mainly because I’m on vacation this week. But I was getting kinda bored. Also, I’m really close to the end I think but I don’t know where to go next. I think I need to keep messing around in the depths.
