It makes Illinois look like Vegas.

I've never seen anything so desolate and flat. Also very very windy. Didn't see a single cop the entire drive through the state.

You go right through the the Smoky Hills Wind Farm, so that was cool.

The amount of wind farms in Illinois is stunning

Wow, what a fucking driver. Kansas....THE WORST.

I have a friend who has a son in Colorado and when he goes out to visit, he drives. He has the same opinion of Kansas. Just a state to hammer down the pedal, zone out and wait for it to end, from what I gather.

Nice the cost of living salary follows you, enjoy the fresh air in CO.

air quality in denver is poor, at best. probably an upgrade from NYC but probably not by a wide margin.

also can confirm driving through kansas is terrible. worthless state.

Not that I really care, but currently rated "good."

I'm out of the subways, so I'm sure this is signficantly better.

How long did it take you to get through the state?

A little under 6 hours. I started on the west side of KC. Total driver from KC was 7:45. I'm not sure if that's good or not, but I was hauling ass.

I mean it has periods of "good" air, but in the dead of summer when it's 90-100F they'll have air quality alerts constantly.

it has something to do with the mountains and poor air circulation.

I was there a few years ago when the california wildfires happened and all of the smoke blew into colorado.

it was absolutely disgusting for a week or two.

can't speak for nyc subways but I've heard they are the worst
