At the end of the day we all know people who spend money on stupid shit that they probably shouldn't be spending it on. I can think these people are fucking idiots, but I mostly dgaf, because it is not my money and they can do what they want with it.
I start to GAF if/when these same people believe it is up to society to help subsidize their way of living.

COL is so different outside of Ohio. For ppl who have lived in Ohio their whole life, I can how the cost of goods barometer would be so different.

Good point, applies within Ohio as well. We're planning to sell our Columbus home and buy one near where I grew up in West-central Ohio. The prices for comparable homes are about a third of the price. S&L's $8K ring is probably like a $5-6K hit in Ohio considering the cost of living.
