Biggest gambling wins?

Yesterday, got a $250 win on a $1.25 video poker hand. By far my biggest win in any kind of gambling. My wife won $2700 on a $3 spin on a dollar slot several years ago (and forgot to transfer her ID to the purse she was carrying so we had to go back to claim the prize).

What's your biggest gambling win?

I’m in a best bets ATS Pool. Put in $40 and pick 4 games ATS per week. About 150 people in the pool. Got this email, after I had my second win in 7 years, plus won the suicide one year.

Great Job bud. This pool seems to like you!!! The Suicide seems to like you as well. I’ve sent you over $4,000 combined over the years!!! This is what,,,,your 7th year in the Suicide Pool and your 6th in the Best Bets? That means you paid about $400 over that time to play. That’s an ROI of about 1000%!! Daaaaaamn!

Great work! Congrats!

I’ve also had success in Blackjack with 3 or 4 buddies. We all put in $25 and let it ride until we lose, or win $3000. We’ve hit $3200 (if super drunk $6400) about 4-5 times in like 40-50 attempts

I rarely gamble so the biggest payoff I've ever won is probably $100 or so from a poker game with friends.

It was more like an inheritance but I had a long lost uncle that I never knew I had died in a car accident in Nigeria who had a substantial life insurance policy and personal fortune.

I am thinking once it gets deposited into my account I will share it with the rest of my family.

I've won a couple hundred dollars at a time on slots over the years, but nothing super substantial. I don't gamble very much.

I hit $350 on one of those automated roulette tables in Vegas on my first spin.

i had no idea it auto-betted your full amount for it immediately put $350 on the same number and I lost it right back to them in. Matter of like 5 seconds. I had never been so pissed off in my life.

i put 10 on 13 on a roulette wheel once and it hit for $350.

I've had 3 $1000 dollar runs on a craps table recently, but those have never had a single roll with a bigger win than that.

i had a powerball ticket last year worth $350,000,000.  I got the first 4 numbers.  I thought I was going to have a heart attack..... closest I have ever come to winning anything.

Crazy it only paid about $100.

Years ago before Ohio had powerball I had to travel across to Indiana to get one (15 miles).

It was a large jackpot so I went on over.   Didnt win.  Went again for the next drawing.

Read in the paper (this was before the interwebs was huge) and saw that I had all the numbers but the powerball!  Called to the place, said ya win $100,000 if that was the case.  So, all day at working I am thinking I just won 60K(after taxes) and probably had half of that earmarked for stuff.

Drove over.....took one last look at the ticket before walking in and realized it.....was from the previous drawing.

I was devastated. Did have the powerball so that won me another ticket but for about 8 hours I thought I had 100K

I think my biggest Powerball/MegaMillions win is $10.  I'll buy 10 tickets when things get big and get like 2 numbers....total.

I have won 2500-3000 on Black Jack quite a few times. I won a few poker tourneys for 5-8k. But that is the most I have won. Neighbor won Ohio lottery back in the eighties. I think it was 2 million or something like that. He works at walmart changing tires now cause all his money ran out. 60 years old and its pretty sad. Had a great job at a local factory quit it and tried to live off his winnings. poor guy.

This will make anyone sick - $1M invested in the S&P500 back in 1985 would be worth over $41M today (obviously less but I'm not going to bother trying to guess how much of the gain was dividends and how much taxes would have took out).

$1M back in the 80's was a lot of money.  He should have been able to live off that.  That's almost $2.4M in today's dollars, which conservatively you could live off $100k per year without touching principle.

12K on slots. Have hit 10k three times and 9700+ once. My nephew, who is a high roller, won 350k in Vegas and 250k & 150k (Jack Casino Cleveland) playing either Blackjack or poker (not sure which he plays). He used to play 10k/hand with Joe Haden & Manziel downtown.

For some reason can't share image....

But basically I donked off that $20k, and then some, I won when I started this thread.

Actually quit a year ago when my credit card got compromised TWICE on this site.  But a few days ago they gave me a free $750 credit to come back.

And this afternoon I HIT...HIT....HIT....straight royal $50 per hand = $40k!!!!!
