Beware of bike lanes

It's bad enough with bikes that never pay attention to the traffic laws. But now with e-bikes, which can be rather heavy, zipping along in bike lanes at 30mph someone is going to get killed (I'm sure it's already happened).

I wasn't use to looking for it, and almost got smoked by one of those idiot delivery drivers on an e-bike in NY that ran a red light and was flying along at 30.  AND I was in the crosswalk.

Around where I live, the Amish are big into the e-bikes.  And it does create some issues.

Is that a loophole?  I didn't think the strictest sects allowed any electric or gas-powered devices?  Although sometimes I think they are allowed to rent, not own, them.

But is it more or less issues than the horse buggies?

As a cyclist who kinda likes ebikes.

I also fucking hate ebikes. They are very annoying to deal with in NYC, even with the bike paths.

The way I know it, the bishop of each sect makes the rules.  So some sects allow it.

I would say the buggies are still more of an issue .

It can be brutal driving around Cincinnati at times. Lots of hills so a lot of great, winding roads for riding.

I honestly can't believe the bicyclists risk it on some roads because everyone drives like a psychopath. It only takes one idiot looking at their phone at the wrong time.
