I just won a pair of AirPods through a charity thing at work for providing books to children that need them. This is probably the 2nd best prize I've ever won.

Best prize was the all-expenses paid trip to Vegas to play TPC Vegas and Cascata plus a set of fitted Ben Hogan irons.

A bunch of small dollar items over the years, but aside from the golf clubs and trip nothing crazy that I can recall.

Other than casino jackpots I've never won anything like that.

My lady won a mountain bike from a local sporting goods store.

Worst story, her son had some kind of raffle for his work and he was bidding on a Christmas tree with scratch off lottery tickets on it. He quit bidding at $90 and the guy who outbid him got it for $100. One of the tickets was $40k/year for 25 years.

Never win anything good. A couple of fantasy football wins about it. Some three card and hold’em wins at Mountaneer/ Rivers.

  • Got a putter at a school fundraiser for having lowest score on the putt-putt course. Wasn't top of the line, but probably worth a couple hundred. It was a newer model, but I forget by who.
  • Also won an EA Sports Tervis cup for winning the week long trivia on a cruise. The better part of that was a $500 gift card to the sports bar, but they awarded the winner on the last day, so we either had to spend $500 that night or come back on another cruise within a year. WE took our free apps and a few drinks but that was it. Probably left around $425 on the table.
  • Got Free Culvers for a year (12 coupons for a value meal + ice-cream, any and all modifications included) for getting picked at an Indiana basketball game and getting the Trivia question correct. Now, Bloomington does not have Culvers, and neither did Toledo, so this was not going to get used fully. Sold it to my friends dad for cash at about $.90 on the dollar. He was happy cause he got a discounted lunch once a month from a place he liked. I was happy cause I had cold, hard cash for an entire weekend in college lol.

I believe that is it.

I won a GT BMX bike when I was 14 at a local circus.

I remember being pissed I was there (went with my grandma and younger sister). Left VERY hyped.

I won $150 on a Lucky For Life ticket.

I won a Save-A-Lot $100 monthly gift card.

All in the last 8 years.

And I’m 68.

That is all.

Congrats to the previous posters for their fantastic winnings….and at such young ages!
