Found a guy on ebay breaking up his 1959 Topps set so I've got a lot of bids in for the remaining 19 I need for that set.

Nice. I went through my principals’s cards and he had a lot of Reds cards of 60’s and 70’s....none of the big name and a lot in poor condition.

This is an awesome thread and made me breakout my old cards.

I grew up collecting more basketball cards from the 80s and 90s than baseball. I have a fair number of Jordan's naturally, but also some Bird and Magic. I have most of the early and late 90s Bulls along with other HOFs and All Stars from the 90s like Barkley, Hakeem, a ton of Shaq's, etc. I have a few Kobe Rookie cards.

I also have a fair number of NFL cards from the 90s. A lot of Cowboys and 49ers I noticed, also a lot of Barry Sanders.

In my home office here where I am working I have several cards framed on the wall including:

  • Jerry Rice: All time catch leader
  • Joe Montana as a Chief
  • Shaq: Rookie and 1996 Dream Team
  • Ken Griffey Jr: 1995 ALDS
  • Mark McGuire: Chasing 62
  • Michael Jordan: Baseball card and return in jersey 45
  • Michael Jordan: Hardwood Leader in 1996
  • Michael Jordan 1996 playoff card with jumper over John Starks
  • Michael Jordan large framed Upper Deck photo dunking over Gary Payton in the 1996 finals with a quote, "Perseverance: My Attitude is, if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strenght."

Well that box I was going through had 16 boxes of unopened 1994 Topps....I just sold them for $10 each on FB in 25 minutes lol.

I wasn’t expecting that quickly or selling them all (keeping one for myself 😁)

Are those the ones with the players on a TV set 📺?

Eric Anthony is the answer to a famous trivia question for Tribe fans. Anybody know what the question is?  Hint: 1994

He hit the first home run at Jacob’s Field while with the Mariners.

And what Tribesman hit the first home run there?

I have the Johnny Temple and Wally Post cards from that set, I believe in the first photo I posted in this thread. That will be a pricey set to complete, I probably won't attempt it for a long while.

Found this on amazon and thought it was cool. It’s big enough to hold every Larkin card through 1995. I’ll probably end up with 3 of these things for my Larkin collection and another for my vintage collection. Quality seems great, very sturdy.

And on that note, even my wife is starting to bully me for being such a nerd.

You happen to have an eBay partner/affiliate account?  I'm about to buy a laptop through there.  Would be happy for you to get a chunk.

What's the idea?

I’m coming to make collector’s packages. Not unloading 1992 Topps and 1989 Donruss on everyone. Not sure if using album or not, leaning not. I will promise a set number of HOF cards....not the ones worth $0.40 but the ones in my plastic sleeves and plastic holders. If someone buys a $25 package I’ll get them $50 or so worth of my cards in hard plastic cases, dozens of HOFers in the soft sleeves and I’ll add an assortment of other random cards. There will be zero duplicates and for $25 I’ll get them $75 worth of cards. If they wanna spend $50 I’ll get them $150 value of good stuff of HOFers....not guys that were hot and petered out. Cards that will hold value or increase and I’ll make it a fun thing for baseball dads to look through with their kids....and I can go up to about any value

Sounds like a cool idea. An album would be cool, but would definitely add some expense.
