I also picked up my first graded cards. Spent $12ish on the Morgan because of the ST (staining) modifier. Small wax stain on the back, it didn’t bother me. The Rose was about $38, which is more than I wanted to spend but I kept missing out on auctions by a dollar or less and got sick of it.

I like those. That’s what I’ll be buying but likely not graded. Had someone buy about 1/3 of my Deion cards for $40 and I sold 4 Father’s Day Collector gifts where they spend $50 and get about $125-$150 worth of cards that includes: 1 HOFer rookie card, 50 different HOFers, about 20 other big popular stars, typically about 50 cards of Reds players and I fill 660 count box with 400 of my collection of all sorts of cards (mostly commons) and I give them a bunch of old fleer stickers to decorate the box. Not many have bought but they are happy as hell with them. Fun to put together too. Guy coming over Monday with $100 and gonna but some Griffey’s and Bo

Sounds like a decent deal for $50.

The ones I’ve made so far have a Randy Johnson donruss rookie, about 20 HOFer cards worth $1.50-$4 (most near $2 value)...all those 21 cards in penny sleeves and top loaders and the other 30 HOFer’s are my stockpile cards all worth $0.50-$1.25 and all in penny sleeves. The big star non-HOFers in penny sleeves. Each box has a Bo, Deion, Pat Mahomes and Jeff Montgomery rookie (local star)

Some have requested extra nasty boys or certain other players...I appease. Every card in penny sleeve or top loader is a good looking/cool card....not a slew of 1993 Donruss of everyone.

If I don’t sell many more I’m going to offer these on Marketplace for $30 or $40 but won’t be as nice of other cards. It’s fun.

Did you buy on EBay? Was Rose $38 total or pay tax and shipping? How much did you pay shipping?

That Morgan card looks like a damn 9 if not for stain. Of course I can get a great look through pic but man those corners and the color looks awesome.

eBay for both. The Rose was $36 + free shipping. It was $38.52 after tax. The Morgan was $8.30 (Best offer) plus $3.50 shipping for a $12.63 total after tax.

Been doing a lot of work on the collection lately. Every Larkin and vintage card I own is cataloged. I've found a few sites that have helped me immensely in buying cards I didn't own, but holy moly are they some of the worst websites I have ever used. This one (http://sportlots.com) is particularly awful. Unfortunately it's an absolute goldmine for finding a ton of cards at really great prices so it's impossible to avoid at this point.

I've got a few feelers out on some vintage lots at the moment. I should hopefully be adding some 52, 53, 77, and 78 Topps to my collection soon.

I think the 77’s might be my favorite of the 70’s cards

On Marketplace 2 weeks ago I had the chance to buy the entire 1974 Topps set in an album for $250 and hesitated and it was gone 🤦🏻‍♂️. The Winfield rookie, Dave Parker rookie, Nolan Ryan, Rose, Bench, Schmidt, Reggie all in great shape.

I blew that one. Also my birth year

The 77 card is cool. I like the 78 card a little more.

One of the cards I'm likely buying is a 1978 George Foster PSA 9.

I had the 66 Pete Rose and in great shape and at time was worth around $55 and donated it to my school’s raffle for a fundraiser for a family in need....it’s nicely more valuable now but I’m definitely replacing that former card but in looking found a great deal on the 65 and 67...so we’ll see.

Man I wish my Reggie Jackson Rookie wasn’t like a 3

I'm thinking of starting up a HOF auto card collection. Start with the smaller names and work my way up. It sounds like it would be fun to work on.

That sport lots.com....wow lol. I clicked on Pete Rose as he was randomly numbered and the cards I looked at said cards in picture may not be card you are sent

Um no lol

Yeah, I wouldn't use it for vintage. But for mostly 18¢ Larkin base? I think the most I've spent on any single card is $3 or $4, but the vast majority were under 50¢.

Signup was so stupid. You had to pick a username that was EXACTLY 8 characters long (numbers and letters only). The copyright says 1999-2020, I'm guessing this is the EXACT same site that was built in 1999.

Just looked up the 2 orders I just put in. I spent $46 ($7 shipping) total and will be getting 110 cards.

Different sport, but I sent a LeBron rookie ('03 Bowman) to get graded, and it came back as PSA 10.  Bought it for $125 about five or six years ago.  Was pumped to get that news.
