I didn't take the day off, but am working from home. Based on who is online I think I'm the only person in our department working today. How about you? Did you take the day off for a 5-day weekend or are you working today?

I'm working a half day today, remote from the Cleveland area.

My boss took all this week off, and I'm taking off all next week. But, it is pretty damn slow today, which is fine by me as I can finally get my email under control and check off some long delayed items off the list.

Worked a half day yesterday and working a half day today. We closed our quarter on Sunday, so the books need closed by today and our Company is HQ in Canada and the other office is in the Caribbean, so they don't gaf about our holidays. It's pretty dead today though.

I am not, but my husband is. Was hoping for a relaxing pool day, but the weather is not currently cooperating.

We were pretty much shut down all week. So 4 days of vacation and a holiday.

In the middle of the season...no days off for me -- except I do refuse to work on national holidays. Quick Lake Cumberland trip after work on Wednesday, drive back this morning to get back at it.

Before I retired, unless I was going out of town (or Mrs. Z had plans for me), I'd always choose to work a Friday after a Thursday holiday.  That way I'd save a vacation day, and most people would be out of the building.  I'd just play my old cassette tapes and catch up on paperwork with nobody to bother me.  Easy day.

Came in for what should have been 1 hour; ended up being 3 hours. Oh well.

First time in ages I've had more than a day off for Independence Day.

Hell, there were years I didn't even get the 4th off.
