Any trips planned this year?

We're trying to figure out a vacation for June. We currently have a (refundable) reservation in Siesta Key, FL. Has anyone been? Is it worth going?

Anyone else have any planned vacations already?

We did Phoenix/Scottsdale for a long weekend in February. Just got back from Watercolor Florida. Up to Wisconsin for a long weekend. Will be in Charlotte for a wedding in December.

My daughter and I were out in Los Angeles for a few days last month. Very crowded, lots of traffic. Would go again but do it differently.

Have a family reunion in Buffalo in July. Going to stop in Pittsburgh for a couple days on the way to it just because.

My brother loves it in Siesta Key, has been several times. It looks awesome but i've never been. For whatever it's worth, he goes with his grandkids and kids, so seems to be pretty family friendly.

As for trips for me., I'm going on a work trip that includes a few RTJ golf courses in May, headed on another work trip to Houston next week where I'm hitting Bluejack National and Whispering Pines. Then for a family vacation, we are hitting up Hilton Head for a week in late June, trying to set up some golf for that week, but haven't confirmed anything yet. if all goes well the wife and i might try to break away for a couples trip over new years. nothing firmed up there yet.

My 50th is in July

Wife is taking me and my son to Cubs game, day in Chicago after that…then on to Kansas City for a game and then a day and then to St Louis for a game and then another day.

We are going to do 5 days in Virginia Beach in June.

I thought I posted this earlier but apparently did not.

Absolutely go to Siesta Key. It is rated the best beach in the continental US.

Some great restaurants around the area too.

We rented a house right on the beach last year through VRBO for a week, was a great vacation.

We ender up at Watercolor this year, but Siesta Key was our second choice. Have heard amazing things about it. Our 5/3 year olds swayed to Watercolor - which caters to young kids more.

Had a small spring break trip to the in-laws in Charlotte and stayed at Great Wolf Lodge for one night. Interesting place.

We wanted to do a 10 year anniversary trip this summer but looks like that might be delayed. Brother is moving to Italy for 3 years so we might wait until next year to go out there.

Only one I know of is in November. Heading out to Colorado and Kansas so The Wife can see her parents.

Waiting to hear what Dirty Mo Media is doing as we might be going to the Bristol Night Race for the 3rd time. (Just a 2 day visit)

Two camping trips for the summer booked. Lake Dillon then Arapahoe Ranch in CO.

NYC late July.

Loosely planning Puerto Rico for October. Also tracking flights for a Mexico return for 2 weeks in late summer. Right now they are unreasonably high for that time of year so that’s a TBD.

I did Vegas for March Madness.

Next weekend my wife is running a marathon in Nashville.

We’re doing a week at an all inclusive in Mexico next month.

In September we are leaning towards 10-12 days in Greece but we will see what’s happening in the world.

Yes them. Had a great time with them. Even got Mike Davis' cell phone number. We've texted a few times. I've been on 4 of the 5 events they have done. Mike actually gave me and my Wife  watches for that achievement. Enscripted "Ultlimate Dirty Mo Media Fan".

Siesta Key and Captiva are beautiful places.  Very laid back and family friendly in the sense that there aren’t drunken 23 year olds everywhere.  Great beaches, awesome restaurants and relatively quiet.

My travels to LA have mostly been work related.  There are beautiful aspects to the area, but I just can’t warm up to it.  Getting around is horrible, everything good is so spread out and the people vibe is very weird.
