I think this was mentioned in another thread, but the story about the 22 year old who stopped the mall shooting in Indiana is wild. Supposedly within 15 seconds of the shooting the guy shot 10 shots starting 40 yards away (with a pistol) and hit the gunman 8 times as he moved closer. Crazy good accuracy, and took a ton of balls.

I am a pretty good shot but no WAY I could get 8 out of 10 with a 9mm from that far away.

But 10 shots is excessive.  Why not just one shot to the knee if he was that good?

Heard it was a Springfield Hellcat.  That's insanely good with that gun.

Yes, I understand he was getting closer to the target with each shot, but still VERY impressive with almost any hand gun, but especially that one
