My favorite also. My wife got me watching the animated series each day 30 years ago, and I was hooked. Conroy was excellent, as well as Efrem Zimbalist Jr, Mark Hamill, and many others providing voices.

Never saw him live, but he came across on TV as very personable. He got a lot of mileage out of that hammer.

When I first started watching baseball and collecting cards he was looking like he was 60 years old then. He Seaver, Ryan, Carlton, Jenkins, Sutton were all in tight pursuit of Walter Johnson’s strikeout record.
Perry 314 wins, 3500+ strikeouts,
6th all-time in innings pitched, 8th in strikeouts, 9th in games started, 6th in losses….brother Jim was way over 200 career wins as well
