No shit. I remember being annoyed last week when Rand Paul was trying to stop things to put in a qualifier about getting out of Afghanistan. And now he has CV. Makes me think the best solution is if 99 more people in the Sanate (and, what the hell, everyone in the house, as well) gets it and nature runs its course. At the least, the country will improve!

The vote was 47-47 because several Repub Senators were in quarantine and couldn't vote. I think that's kind of a problem they need to fix.

no reason why they couldnt vote via phone or video. I mean the draconian rules about being present to vote was written when people still road horses around.

Yeah, I'd have to think there is a problem that EVERYONE can agree on when you have a situation like:
1. We need 60 votes to pass something!
2. A number of people are in quarantine and can't vote...
3. WELL THEY HAVE TO BE HERE, IN PERSON, AND THAT'S THAT!!!!!!!!
4. Wouldn't that mean, in theory, that if enough people here get sick, it'd be impossible for anything to pass, even if it had near-unanimous support?
5. I said...AND THAT'S THAT!!!!!!!!
But then, we're talking our government. An organization so stupid that, despite all our talk and memes about it, we still haven't come close to reaching the depths of how incompetent it truly is.

I'd add it should only be for extraordinary situations. Otherwise, those idiots need to be PRESENT working together. Because my guess is most would rather be home constantly working on their re-election.

And some people do not want to drain it …

In the words of the immortal Lewis Black, "The only thing dumber than a Democrat or a Republican is when those pricks work together."

Yikes. I had a near miss on something like this several weeks ago. I'm sorry to hear you got nailed. Any idea how they might have stolen it?
Looks like through Amazon account

I wish this was a constitutional amendment. We would either see further gridlock (fine by me) or both parties meeting in the middle and actually be help for the entire country.

And, if nothing else, it would out whatever politicians are for or against something by itself instead of giving them a scapegoat or something else to hide behind.

NEVER use a debit card on-line.

Indeed. We stopped using our debit cards for anything other than ATM withdrawals.

Eh, it's not problematic by itself. And about 99% of the time it gets stolen, the problem isn't with the website's security. It's with the user's machine.
Still, everybody accepts PayPal these days, and they have both great security and great fraud protection. Really no sense in not using a payment surrogate service like that.
For the record, my near-miss a few weeks ago was the result of someone using a skimmer on a gas pump card reader.
All y’all buying baby wipes that don’t have babies can fuck yourselves.

I went from December 1999-November of 2017 without a CC and never had my Debit Card info stolen and then it was done so 3 different times in a few month span. I tracked the two down, one I believe at a hotel in Milwaukee and the other at a gas station, (No idea the other time) so I ended up getting a CC to use because of those reasons.
Plus, paying cash wasnt always the best for building credit it seems!
Now the debit card gets only used to take out cash and occassionaly at the local grocery inside.

Sorry, bought one package, put them in plastic bags, and soaked them in rubbing alcohol.
