Hearings are one thing, a special prosecutor looking into criminality is quite another.  When you potentially have a coup attempt against a duly elected president, after you had the highest levels of the FBI and DoJ spying on American citizens and a presidential campaign team, ostensibly at the behest of the opposition, then by God you damn well better investigate it with a special prosecutor.

I bet this goes over well with the ladies. It’s over my political head lol but it sounds very Tin hatty imo

Responses to the smollet case are almost identical to the mueller report responses. if you were on his side before the verdict you see this as complete vindication that he was not guilty, if you thought he was guilty you still definitively think he is guilty and got away with it.  or as stated its chicago so there is that.

The prosecutor literally has come out and said they would have convicted him, it just wasn't worth their time for the punishment (supposedly). So there is no doubt he is guilty and made the whole thing up. Wealthy privilege > white privilege

In 5 years we wont have a criminal justice system in these big cities.  It will be lawlessness.

And the FBI is now looking into why the case was dropped.

And once Michelle Obama's office gets involved again, the FBI will drop it as well.

So various publications are starting to throw the "alt-right" label on conservatives, most notably Ben Shapiro. Shapiro is an orthodox Jew who receives death threats from white nationalists and the like. The Economist is the just latest one to do it and after much public backlash they retracted that label.

Does everything have to result in a huge public backlash before publications will truthfully report?

Sad state of affairs.  I don’t recall such personal hatred emanating from conservatives during obama’s term, as we see from the left today regarding Trump.  Yes many, including me, argued intensely against his policies and actions, but it was with the good of the republic in mind.  Today, regardless of whether anything Trump does or might do, it is DOA and all because of personal hatred and incredible bitterness from losing the election.  I see no end to it.

LOL. What bullshit. You had people, the now President included, claiming the former President was not born in this country and closet Muslim that was pro Sharia law.

And most of those people, current President included, were fools.  It was not remotely mainstream conservative media.  It was mostly a fringe group.  Not comparable, at all, to the current climate.

LOL, no it wasn't.  That's fake news.  It was Trump, Cruz, a few fringe players and a bunch of Breitbart idiots.  That's it.  No one won a frickin' pulitzer for that bullshit.

There has never been anything like 90%+ coverage of a POTUS being negative.  Same people who' harshest criticism of Obama was usually "he isn't liberal enough".

So a couple posts ago you said it was "even" now you may not believe it is "even" but instead "well Trump deserves it anyway"? So which is it?

I think the media is secretly happy there was no collusion.  They'll be even happier if he gets re-elected.  Yes, he practically saved MSNBC and CNN.

I also think Trump's people are behind some of the fake news - they easily dupe the useful idiots in the media, and then rally his base when Trump is, again, a "victim" of fake news.
