You have to stop this before they get to the border. I don't care if it takes some Clear and Present Danger type of shit, you cannot have this many people wandering into the Chihuahuan Desert
posted by Dr Winston O'BoogieSo any theories on how Hillary, Obama, Soros & Co. pulled this together?
Ever hear of Pueblo Sin Fronteras? Irineo Mujica? He was arrested by Mexican authorities at the Guatemala-Mexican border around the time this "caravan" was attempting to cross the border. He is an activist with Pueblo Sin Fronteras who is known to have led the "caravan" last spring.
These types of groups receive funds from a variety of sources ,the vast majority not from Guatemala/Honduras, but from foreign sources like left leaning grant generating foundations.
None of the people you mentioned above need be at all directly involved. There are wealthy people who donate their money to like minded organizations with the desire it is likely to be used in their interest at some point.
In order to get a true organic mass migration of people you have to have some sort of sudden catastrophic event. Like war or natural disaster.

That's still legal, right?
No.
To legally seek asylum you have to stop at the first border you cross and ask for it.

no. The asylum cant be granted due to the fact that the international treaties on borders contain wording that they must seek asylum on the southern mexico border before reaching another border. Mexico is not following international law. Hence we dont have to grant anything or even hear them out.
Mexico offered them asylum. They turned it down.

Gotcha, thanks for clarification.
Well, outside of the touristy spots and ruins, Mexico isn't all that great. Even though I don't agree with these 7,000+ people, I can understand why they don't want to settle there, either, when you can bumrush another country that's much much better.

No doubt. It should be Mexico's problem.
posted by queencitybuckeyeIt's been what it's been there for quite some time. I'm supposed to believe that thousands just randomly said "enough is enough" and started walking? BTW, I'm not the one that put forth wild conspiracies, I merely said there's no way it can possibly be organic.
In terms of believing what I'm told to like or dislike, my thoughts and words are my own. You on the other hand are the living definition of NPC. You're the lefty version of QQ.
If it wasn’t “organic”, how exactly did it come about?
Whatever liberals supposedly organized must be damned effective. They got parents to take their young children and put them in serious danger after all.
Oh the irony........"They must follow Mexican immigration laws".
Also they must live in the 2 southern states on the border.
Laws are for poor people, right?

I have to wonder - who is paying for lawyers in this? I don't know if we can claim lefties are pushing them to sue.

they surely arent on board to stop it so I will lean toward the idea that they want this to happen
Nexus Services Inc. is funding the lawsuits through a civil rights law firm called Nexus Derechos Humanos (Human Rights) Attorneys Inc.
So I just googled caravan in Mexico and the results are about LGBT splinter groups will be the first to reach the border. I guess the urgency is no longer there since the midterms are over and people just aren't as excited about it as they used to be and so we need to go further up the progressive stack and focus on it.
Reading that there is not enough shelter for those fleeing wild fires in Cali …..maybe they will rethink their love affair with open borders.
