I'm not sure there is anyone else worth putting on the poll as of now. Who do you think gets the nomination?

I think (and hope) that it's DeSantis over Trump.

My top two choices that have absolutely no shot, and probably zero aspirations anyway, are Thomas Massie and Cynthia Lummis.

I imagine Pence will run.  Likely Kristi Noem and Nikki Haley, also.  And Pompeo.

Can't say I like any of them.  I could maybe vote for Desantis, but I'm not supporting anyone pandering to MAGA (as if you could actually win anything without doing that).

Kind of hoping Noem or Haley becomes POTUS, just to see liberal heads explode, but also to see how they justify horrible treatment of a woman for the high crime of being a Republican.

I think DeSantis will be the guy to beat.  I think the interest in Trump dies down to just the Quakers of the world.  He's fat and nearing 80, so health may be an issue anyway.  Pence has the personality of Ward Cleaver, so I'd say no on him as well.

DeSantis would be fine.  I actually hope Trump does not run, but whoever does run needs to adopt most of his policies and be as forthright (without the stupid shit).  DeSantis/Haley, DeSantis/Cotton etc......  but there area few who could come out of left field and do well also.

Trump no, Trump platform, YES.

And, in your words, what exactly is the Trump platform?

Fuck Trump. It’s Desantis or bust. Noem started well and then folded under pressure, and Haley has kinda too.

But if they get on a prime time stage....both are fiery, and both kinda actually somewhat hot.

I think one of those two are your nominee.  DeSantis put it all on anti-science "08"....and lost.

And he's quite possibly smarter than Rhodes Scholar Slick Willy.  But as a politician.....

After yesterday's shit show, Byron Donalds is the only person i'll actively support. If Desantis goes up I'll vote for him but won't  love it. I could also support Kristi Noem, but the neocons will never let her go up and the libs will destroy her credibility.

If it's Trump again, I'd vote Democrat or 3rd party, just depends who the other options are. I will not vote for Trump unless there is a repeat of the 2020 election where my other options are a reanimated corpse, a career Green Party Loser (who got drafted, never served, and somehow is proud of his American Legion membership) and Jo Jorgensen.

If I were to guess on the Libertarian nominee, I'd say it will be Spike Cohen. He was the VP nominee in 2020, but a million times better than Jo. He's one of the best communicators in the libertarian movement.

And, yeah, I was impressed with what I saw briefly from Mr Donalds.

I like Thomas Massie and think we would benefit from ranked choice voting, especially senators.  Should have ranked choice jungle primaries with top 4 going to ranked choice general election.

There’s also zero chance the Republican Party throws their support to Haley, or any woman for that matter lol  so there’s that too.

Bold claim, considering the Dems have only ever nominated 1 woman themselves.

But, man, have the libs been unloading on Tulsi Gabbard.  The "party of tolerance" sure doesn't it like it when a minority wanders off the reservation.

It’s more they know they don’t have a chance to win with them. Especially in their base.  And they won’t run identity politics like Dems will. Even tho they (democrats) haven’t figured out it doesn’t work yet.
