The Trump and DeSantis factions are at war on twitter and it's really annoying.

I think Laura Loomer is just shock jock material. Occasionally she will state the obvious.

There’s a rung in hell reserved for all of these noise makers who live off of promoting anger and rage.

LOL I can't believe Pence is going to run.

It has to be a grift, right?  He has to know he has no chance to win, and I don't see him wanting to be anyone's VP (much less Trump, not that he would have him).

So the only other reason to run is to pay friends & family a handsome "consulting" salary that they all do.

Or maybe he's intending to use it as a platform to try to launch a book.  He just seems so dry and uninspiring I can't imagine.

Yes, same with Scott and Haley.

Those two I think could be hoping to be VP.  And just a few years ago they were saying Haley could be a strong candidate.  I don't like her, but I think she's has a "chance", unlike Pence.

I assume Kristi Noem will get in at some point, as well.  I just hope the ones that get shellacked in the first few races drop out so that Trump needs an actual majority basically head-to-head with whomever.

I'm kind of shocked at the polls.  I understand name recognition, but of all the reasons not to vote for Trump, you'd think the fact he's a loser would be bigly.  Of course, I guess his supporters still don't think he lost the election in 2020 (and, oddly enough, it may have been rigged or "stolen", just not the way Trump said it was).

This is also just a clown show. DeSantis did not vote for him, and guess who appointed him…

Unless DeSantis chokes horribly like Rand Paul, he should just demolish Trump in a debate.  Just too much material.  The only response to that tweet should be "Trump hires all the best people!"

But I might be willing to bet Trump won't debate.  I assume his strategy will be that he's inevitable, so he won't "lower" himself to pretending like he hasn't already won.

I'd read a story a few days ago saying that Trump had kind comments for Tim Scott when he entered the race with the "read between the lines" meaning that he's loving all the "no chance in hell" people cluttering up the race because he has his core that will vote for him over everybody, so the main effect everyone else entering will have is to dilute DeSantis' numbers.

Which would tie into what you're saying. If it's just Trump and DeSantis and it's remotely a race, you'd expect that he'd have to debate or DeSantis would (or at least should) go all-out on the attack of him not being willing/able to go toe-to-toe with him. But if there's a half-dozen or more guys driving DeSantis' numbers down while his are staying steady, he can legitimately say there's no reason for him to waste his time debating when no one else is on his level and "earned" the right to face him. Might not work with all voters, but his cheering section is loud enough that it will play bigly amongst his base.

Which makes the whole thing seem weird. You hear/read all this stuff about the R old guard hates Trump and doesn't want he and his followers to be the face of the party. And then you have non-entities like Pence mucking up the race and there winding up being the sort of crowded field that he tore up in '16 because you had him doing his thing and a dozen mostly anonymous people all doing a more traditional style of debating, so he stood out from the pack immediately. I don't know who needs to hear this, but if your vibe is "We don't want any more Trump!", you probably shouldn't be setting up the exact same scenario that led to there being Trump in the first place.

I don't care if it's Trump, Desantis or RFK jr, I just want somebody who can at least start breaking off the ties between the dems and the CIA, FBI, DOJ, etc. Something has got to give there.

Tim Scott would be a good VP pick imo, but being single his whole life won’t help him.  But this was a great takedown of these dumbasses that liberal white women keep employed (also biased bc he’s from SC).

I've only heard him a few times, but he speaks well and articulates a conservative message well.

I just hope he doesn't sign on for Trump's VP, as I think that is career suicide.  BUT....he might be enough for Trump to make-up some of the other voters he's alienated, and Scott would be well-positioned in 2024.  Just not sure anyone can withstand the "Uncle Tom" onslaught that is coming for him.

And I'm not calling him an Uncle Tom, but I can see how people might think he is :)

I have seen him called a coconut, as well as Mandingo before (if you've read the book, you know).

Everytime I see that one Trump lawyer, I think "damn, she's pretty hot....Trump always hires the best people!".

But this is messed up - her wiki page.  It's the first damn line.  Did Trump write it?

Guaranteed there will be stories of Trump being disappointed only a few hundred supporters showed up at the court house.  And 50/50 chance of that story being true.

One thing that keeps me a little skeptical and critical about all of the "information" that republicans are releasing is - where are the impeachment proceedings? If the bits and pieces are factual, with broader facts behind of them, why drag this out?

The dems started impeachment hearings with made up stories, proceeded to impeach.

Meanwhile we are getting the drip, drip, drip.

 where are the impeachment proceedings?

Timing.  Likely not coming before Biden wins the nomination.

Or I'd be completely shocked if the Republicans actually - GASP! - wait on deciding impeachment based on actual facts.  I think that's unlikely, but this whole "payback X10, BIYATCH!!!!" has to stop at some point.

I also don't particularly care about removing Biden from office - I've said many times I don't think the POTUS does 1/10th as much as people think, and Biden probably 1/10th of that.  But if these allegations are true, then he belongs in jail. And I bet you I can predict at least 9 pardons in Biden's future...Which, ironically, remember when the Left was hyperbolic over Trump potentially pardoning himself?
