Plus itd be funny to watch hacks like Trevor Noah try and keep their stupid shows afloat when they don’t have trump to rip on for 90% of their show. Be funny to watch them crumble in front of our eyes because they aren’t capable of writing actual jokes.

Because either way we’re fucked. Dems/repubs it doesn’t matter. They all suck. But at least with a dem I wouldn’t have to hear Trump mumble his way through a pointless speech, or read his illiterate tweets, or listen to crying liberals blame everything on him, or listen to redneck idiots like CC defend his every move like he’s their favorite basketball team’s best player.

Sure there’d be other things that would start to annoy me, but it can’t be that bad.

This sums up the last presidency (minus the tweets) and future presidency.  Politics is unbearable.

I disagree though, we are more fucked if a socialist democratic party has power over fake conservatism republicans.

My hypocrisy only goes so far ... I hate kamala Harris

I hate Trump as a person as well, but voted for him last time over Hillary due to policy and at this point would again based on the D field. I hope your girl Kamala Harris wins the D nom just for the comedy gold that the debates would foster. Spartacus would be a good second option.

His twitter and platform does effect my  life negatively tho

Serious question, how does someone's twitter account affect your life at all, let alone negatively?

Effect and the way his Twitter fires up people who don’t like me does matter. I get that u don’t see it

You corrected his grammar but you were wrong. Affect is a verb, effect is a noun. His twitter account affects you, but the effect should be small (see the difference?).

Thanks, autocorrect changed noun to known, I deleted the k, forgot to change the w.

Meh. Goes both ways. People said if trump’s president the world would end, wed turn into a dictatorship, etc. none of that happened. If a socialist gets elected everyone would freak out that we’d all start making the same amount of money or minimum wage would be $60 an hour. None if it would happen.

I’m just at the point where I couldn’t give two fucks less about amaerican politics.

People ruin politics. For the past couple years, the left in general has gone full Quaker with daily "the sky is falling" rants that mean nothing because any rational person can see that the world hasn't come to an end yet and doesn't seem to be on the verge of doing so, no matter how many people scream that it is while citing any little thing that semi-supports them, blowing it all way out of proportion. And it's the same stuff over and over. I remember a person or two here was convinced that Obama was going to abolish the two-term limit in order to be king/dictator/ruler for life and, shockingly, the same sort of shit got tossed on Twitter by equally fuck-tarded dipshits on the left a little ways into Trump's presidency in order to fire up the slack-jawed drones to be really, really irate.

It's horrible.  I can't watch CNN, or Jimmy Kimmel, or Bill Maher and others any more.  If you want to be negative about policy, fine, that's worthwhile.  But the constant personal attacks and juicy "scandals" (most of which appear to be complete bullshit) just makes these people insufferable to listen to.

Apparently their audience just NEVER tires of talking about what a jerk Trump is....or the ever popular, what a jerk Trump MIGHT be - for when they run out of actual examples so they come up with hypotheticals where they speculate how horribly Trump might respond.

Trump as a business man:  Highly regarded by all and repsected by dems (hence he donated to Clintons before), known as a international business man.  Never called a racist, bigot, homophobe.

Trump as president:  Opposite of above.

From his post, he's blathering about "repsect"! And also making up random shit that might not have much to do with reality, but does go a long way to illustrating how his point of view starts with "derp" and ends there, as well.

you guys have blinders on.  Trump used to be guests on Oprah, 60 minutes and other TV shows all the time back in the day.  Major magazine articles and other outlets.  He was regarded as a smart international businessman.  He was liked by both sides of the political spectrum.  Now that he is president he is regarded as an idiot, racist, bigot, etc.......

He is the only person in this equation that is still the same.  Everyone else has changed.

Trump was not highly regarded by all.  He has had success in business, but he has also had big failures.  Going back to the 1980s, his name was out there usually because he self-promoted very hard.  He then became a reality show character in recent years.

Your description sounds more like Warren Buffet.  Trump was never in a category like that.

Who gives a shit? Stop being a whiny douchebag all the time. Who cares he was on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women, he was on Oprah 30 years ago!

There's the crux of the matter.  Just keep on "not watching".  Those shows are entertainment shows needing ratings.  If the audience continues to watch in the right numbers while they go on and on about Trump, then that's what they'll continue to do.  Don't forget that those guys are comedians.  They've no relevant expertise to current or world affairs.  They're catering to the same like-minded people every night.  I don't know what they audience demographic is, but I'd guess it skews younger than 40 and is not a cross-section of the population.

No matter who you are, you will ALWAYS be better off watching Road House if you're up late at night.  You can learn anything you need from the sage Dalton.  "Pain don't hurt."

Yeah, I rarely watch Bill Maher any more.  It's an interesting show, and pre-Trump the bullshit was just barely tolerable enough..but no more.

Although I will tune-in to see the meltdowns and spin if the Mueller report is as underwhelming as being speculated - it's going to be like Star Wars fanatics after the release of Episode 1.

And whatever happened to CNN/Fox covering actual news?  Even the daytime straight news coverage is almost all political, save the occasional natural disaster or plane crash.

No.  He was a personality, a marketing/branding savant but hardly a savvy business guy.

I know people who are big time negotiators/deal makers and they say his book "The Art of the Deal" is a complete joke.  Nothing all that brilliant about leveraging power/size over the little guy.
