LOL at thinking you have credibility.

Now that I got that out of the way, you stated you like the guy.  Based on your posts/beliefs you shouldn't like the guy, because he is no doubt a leftist.  Now, if you were discussing his chances to steal votes (you weren't), I would agree with you.  I think he very much can steal votes from the Dems depending on who their candidate is and this is why a lot of people on the left are attacking him.   If a "moderate" dem wins the primary, I don't see Schultz doing much damage.

LOL....I dont think any of them sound moderate at this point.

You are judging me based on the fact  that you think I hug Trumps nuts.  Maybe on about 40% of what he does.  I could care less about what he or anyone else thinks about moral political issues.  I vote with my wallet.  I vote based on the rule of law.  You can take immigration, abortion and everything else.

Really trying to argue you don’t slobber on trump’s nuts?

If you are a teacher you have benefited exactly 0$ from trump being in office as compared to Obama.

I don't think, I know.  We all do here.

As for mod dems, Klobacher is the closest thing to a moderate dem in the race currently.  There will be several others that could insert themselves into the convo (Brown, Biden, the dude from Montana that apparently might run, etc).  Moderate is a relative term, but all of these people are moderate enough to dilute Schultz's appeal.  Not surprised you can't comprehend that.

Aren't you a teacher too?  If so, please teach your students that the $ goes in front of the number.

Are you talking your week-by-week take-home being increased? Because I've been seeing a lot of rumblings by people complaining about how they've gone from having a refund to having to pay or from having to pay a little to having to pay a lot when they go to file. With the primary reason, from what I gathered from an article I read about this (ie: I skimmed it, therefore, I might be somewhat off), being that they got more take-home pay on a weekly basis due to how things were set up...and then, because they're the kind of idiot that thinks "MOAR TAKE-HOME = I WIN!!!!" and then stops thinking right after that thought, they're completely baffled by how the gubment is sinking their claws in a bit more at filing time.

You're correct. Repubs touting more take home pay (less refund) and dems (saw Kamala tweet) are complaining about less refund while ignoring more take home. I have a freaking cpa and barely understand taxes, so be skeptical when anyone talks about taxes.

I got a healthy return and more take home.

Thanks DT

You can go back and forth on whether someone received more or less of a refund etc….that is not the point because there are too many moving parts there.  The point is what was their total tax liability for the year, versus what it was the prior year (assuming the same income).

About the only people who are not benefiting from the rate cuts are those who had very high deductions for state, local and property taxes.  Those people are obviously high earners as well.  The cap on those SALT deductions is now $10,000.  So, if a taxpayer had say, $35,000 in state, local and property taxes that were previously fully deductible, they will lose $25,000 of that deduction, increasing their taxable income in ’18 by $25,000.  At a high tax rate of say, 35%, they would owe $8,750 more in federal tax (all else being the same). However, that extra tax will be offset by the overall lower rates.  So let’s say that taxpayer has $300,000 in taxable income and may now save 2% from the rate cut, he saves $6,000, which offsets all but $2,750 of the higher tax from the loss of the deductions.  So much for the liberal myth that the tax cuts only benefited the wealthy.  What did happen is people in the highly, overtaxed states like NY and CT, and MD and CA are realizing how badly they have been overtaxed at the state level by liberal politicians, and they are moving out (which is why Cuomo is crying his eyes out in NY).

Amazon pulling out of NY. Idiots like AOC don’t understand that they weren’t giving them money they already had, they were accepting less in taxes (or whatever). Her and these other idiots think that now there is just money lying around to pay more for teachers and their shitty subway. Smh.

They were only giving away $3B to recoup $28B, AND 25k to 40k jobs. Idiots. It also had overwhelming public support other than the crazies in their state government.

LOL...was going to post on this.  Very great Pyrrhic victory for the libs.  But, hey, it's not like NY needed the larger tax base or anything.

Capital always flows to where it is treated best.  The Marxists parading around as progressives would rather overthrow the republic than learn economics.  Sad.

Unreal that these NY Dems are claiming some sort of victory that they "ran" out tens of thousands of jobs from the biggest business in the US out of their state.

Just crazy logic.

Certainly Amazon's right to put it's businesses where it feels wanted.  I'm not sure how they didn't see this coming when they picked this location though.

I think Amazon will be just fine and grow anyway.  I also think that NYC, as the financial center of the the world, will be okay as well.

It is becoming quite obvious that they prefer homelessness, feces and needles strewn all over streets and sidewalks, open borders and sanctuary cities so we can have even more feces and needles on every corner, and general lawlessness.

They need their ass kicked, permanently.

I actually listened to part of that podcast just a few nights ago when I couldn't sleep. Didn't Finland just announce that their UBI failed?
