Trump has made just about every democrat who gets any share of the national stage crazy. I mean out of their fucking mind. It's the symbolic representation of the ouroboros come to life. Republicans have been trying to figure out a way to make democrats act like this for 20+ years and couldn't do it. Then along comes this meme in the flesh and it's The Triggering.

Anyone see the "Green Deal" proposal AOC and Markey put out today?  Lol all in on high speed trains to eliminate air travel, charging stations for electric cars "everywhere", replace all combustion engine vehicle, Upgrading all existing buildings in the U.S. so that they're energy efficient, college for all, eliminate nuclear, among other stupid ideas. These people are crazy.

This is the absurdity of all that.  How do they intend to produce all that electricity, especially without nuclear?  There are a lot of people who don't know any better that think renewables are the answer to our energy needs.  Maybe some day if cold fusion becomes viable, but I don't think solar/wind/water have the potential to handle even 20% of total energy demand.

LOL, quick google says renewables currently supply 22% of global electricity - but if you take fossil fuels out of the power generation equation, I'm guessing that number drops below 5%.

US commission on renewables - which I'm sure is very scientific and non-agenda driven - claims US could be at 80% by 2050.  Again, I'm sure that is not factoring ALL energy needs if you eliminated fossil fuels...and that number is mostly likely complete bullshit, anyway.

These people are crazy.

The reason "free shit" is so popular is most people think they will benefit.  They don't realize that only the bottom 20-25% will really benefit.  Everyone else is going to be paying more in taxes because there's simply not enough money among the 1%, or 5%, to pay for all this.

Or you just print the money to finance it, and slowly drain the economy and hurt the dollar....which is also implicitly a tax (and a pretty brutal one).

They either think they'll benefit or it gives them a false sense of superiority.  That latter one is from anyone you see saying, "I'll happily pay a little more in taxes if it means the poor can have _______."

Those folks think it's just a little that will come out.  And they don't seem to get that you can help others without taxes.
