Jesus I saw where some wacko news outlet made a story about how National wildlife areas are in danger since the government shutdown......its nature for god sake.  I think it can take care of itself

True. She is old, but apparently her mind is still there, so who knows.

The republicans haven't exactly had a strong bench lately, either. Trump aside ... Mitt Romney? Ben Carlson?

I was a pretty big Romney fan.  Great candidate, lousy campaigner.  Basically the complete opposite of Trump, in every respect.

I wasn't a huge fan of Romney, but compared to Trump, he's damn-near Milton Friedman.

30 some democrats partying it up in the Caribbean with over 100 lobbyists during a border crisis and government shutdown.  Wonderful.

If it were republicans the media would crucify them.

I don't agree with QO much, but his last sentence here is true. If the Rs had gone on an expensive vacation during this shutdown the CNN/MSNBC's of the world would be crucifying them.

So apparently somebody got a bunch of illegal immigrants from Mexico and Guatemala and they are claiming sanctuary on Nancy Pelosi's lawn.

What a turnout!  I can't tell if there are 5 or 6 people that were there.  I don't know who Laura Loomer is, but man what a  way to make a public statement.

I agree with you wholeheartedly that these people going on a trip to Puerto Rico right now is a perfect example of why people have such a low regard for our elected leaders.  I don't agree with your second point.  The fact that we're discussing it here shows that it is out there.  There are so many of these lobbyist trips being taken by politicians.

I can't understand why you continue with this media conspiracy.  You obviously have no problem finding the news stories you chose to read.  So the main TV networks and the few existing newspapers give more scrutiny to Republicans?  So what.  There are literally tens of thousands of sources for news today.  You can find your outraged reporting on whatever issue from whatever angle anytime you desire.  Go to Google.com.

So I see a highlight from a recent NYT article...."What if the obstruction WAS the collusion?"

LMFAO, so the new angle on all the fishing expedition is going to be Trump fired Comey [at the behest of Russia, I assume] in order to hinder the investigation into election meddling.

I also see some rumbling about the emoluments clause, and how Trump is colluding or poses a security risk in order to profit personally from Russia.  Mind you, as POTUS, not necessarily prior to running for election.

Well when they act like they're the firefighters of truth but instead are complete dipshits they deserved to be called out. When they blatantly try to push opinion as fact and blatantly lie to the readers (90% of the Kavanaugh coverage), it isn't a "conspiracy", they're just losers.

Didn't we say this was most likely the end game all along with this investigation?

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but has anyone watched this Gillette toxic masculinity ad?  LOL, who the fuck thought this was a good idea?  Hey guise, let's tell our main demographic they suck and are rapists!  It's not like guys are loyalists to razor brands.  It's not very hard for any of us to switch razors.

Conservatives have believed the media was in the bag for democrats for decades - hell, Nixon was obsessed by it.  Today though, they are not the gatekeepers of news.  There are thousands of choices on where to get news, enough that anyone can find something that aligns with their opinions.  I sometimes think the biggest readers of the NYT or watchers of CNN are conservatives looking for their daily dose of outrage.

You keep trying to throw away the fact that most of the population watch/read/listen to the bigger names, which are all left leaning. You're the person who keeps denying that the color purple isn't violet.

*edit*

Since we're having this tired discussion again, I was remiss in saying that FOX is right, along with Breitbart. Because we must keep saying the same things over and over. And of course, someone might come along and say "FOX has liberals on it too" and then somebody else could say "well CNN has some conservatives on it". Because we must keep rehashing over and over again because some people keep denying over and over again.

ad nauseum.

Case in point, we have the WAPO fact checking Trump on the amount of burgers he stated the WH had for Clemson last night LOL.

I will not buy a Gillette product again.  Hard to believe the radical left is so focused on tearing down human nature, and all things male; sick people.
