It's almost like the founders thought of that and created a second legislative branch that takes population into account.

I have literally used this exact statement with acquantainces on FB who made the Senate Wyoming/California "problem".

I said "If only there was another legislative group that takes into account population." They typically reply "Yeah, I know!". I then describe how this is exactly what the HoR is and WHY the founders came up with both house and senate with the compromise known as the Great Compromise, to appease both the large and small states.

Repeal the 17th Amendment.

Generation X is stuck between 1.) entitled sick and dying boomers who seem to live forever and 2.) emotionally underdeveloped millenials who added gas to the bonfire of postmodernism.

In the defense of millennials (I'm on the border myself), much of what we see in the absences of emotional development, mental toughness, work ethic, and prioritization has been learned, and in no small part as a result of the Boomers and Xers that raised them.

At some point, they'll have to suck it up and figure it out for themselves, particularly when there are fewer and fewer "old people" to blame for their troubles.  As they've become adults their progress is more and more their responsibility.

But their starting point is what it is for a reason.

Honestly reminds me of this:

That's not hacking an election.  Frankly, some of that is smart.

It's unethical, though, depending on how Machiavellian you tend to lean when it comes to elections.

Harvard, who is under fire for discriminating against admitting Asians with 1600 SAT scores and 4.0 gpas just admitted the dipshit Hogg from Parkland who couldn’t get into Florida community colleges. Being woke apparently matters more than being intelligent. 

Ivy Leagues have been wading into far left territory for some time now. So it makes sense that they want a "celebrity" with cameras involved. Admissions obviously doesn't care if you're qualified and ready, they just want ideological preferences reflected.

Harvard cares mostly about what sort of influence you might have - future political leaders and business titans, mainly, is what they're looking for.  Hogg has the potential to become a leading millenial activist, and then who knows what that grows into.

I don't agree with it, but Harvard hugely overweights leadership and experience relative to grades and test scores.  And like 2/3 of the class is legacy, anyway, which means that remaining 1/3 tend to check very unique boxes to get in.

Hogg isn't stupid, at least not as far as grades/standardized tests go. But it seems like he's a stretch for Harvard.

I don't disagree, but grades/SAT-wise he's not a dummy. I'm not sure I buy the notion that he was denied admission to community colleges in Florida.

1260 on the new SAT isn't very good, and not nearly good enough for Harvard when you're a white guy.

He is not harvard material.  He is getting in for other reasons
