It's hard to imagine Hillary actually getting the nomination again.  Although in a crowded field, I could see the name recognition carrying her not unlike it did with Trump.

Otherwise, if the Dems are going to spend the next 2 years subpoenaing everyone and everything instead of legislating, then I predict 2020 doesn't go well for the them.

Hillary, what part of "We don't want you." are you not understanding?

all of it.

She better be careful.  Its obvious that the deep state does not want her to run (hence the media running a negative article on it)...the lap dogs of the Dems like Pelosi and Schiff will expand the Mueller investigation to look into her crooked behavior to just eliminate her from running.  Likely the only reason for dems to keep this Mueller thing going. They can use it to manipulate the 2020 election

If not Hillary, then who? Kamala Harris? Bernie? Spart- er... Corey Booker (although he's got more charisma than all others combined)? Chuck Schumer? Elizabeth Warren? Beto?

Well, since the last few races have been won by the guy best at telling people what they want to hear and making them believe he's out to help them, the bolded part might be important.

Harris doesn't quite have the name recognition of the rest.

I could see Crazy Uncle Bernie getting it, as a choice out of regretting not getting more votes in the previous primary.  "If we'd nominated Bernie, he would have won."  That jazz.

Booker?  Eh, maybe.  You're right.  He has the charisma, for sure.  He's got the look, too ... tall, good posture, well-spoken.  He's "presidential."  Only thing I can think of is how campaign ads against him might affect his odds in the #metoo era.  Dude appears to have some hot-button skeletons in his closet.

Schumer is too old-Democrat in this era.  He'll feel too much like another Clinton.

Elizabeth Warren is a possibility.  She's got a strong foothold in the neoliberal movement ("Nevertheless, she persisted" was a popular mantra not so long ago).  She's seemed emboldened at times and certainly can speak with a fire.  She comes with risk, though, as she sometimes shoots herself in the foot with verbal gaffes.

Beto just lost a Senate race to a guy who isn't even that well-liked in the Republican Party.  No way he gets enough traction.

While it might not happen in 2020, Ocasio-Cortez will be 35 in 2024.  It wouldn't shock me to see the push for that, as her verbal gaffes seem to be overlooked for some reason.

God help us. Don't think she would last a minute in a debate unless she practices for 6 years starting today. Also don't think she is that popular within her own party, but more a making of the repubs trying to say how bad she is. The old guard dems are probably not on her side

2020 for the dems are going to have a ton of people vying for it. I think it could be Bernie/ Hillary if they go old people, or Beto/ Sherrod Brown if they want to go young. Regardless of how absurd Beto was in TX, the national libs loved him. You'd get all the celebrities out for him.

The dems surely put all their money behind him and still couldnt win.

Here's the thing: It seems like she already shouldn't have lasted.  However unpopular she is, she beat the incumbent in the primary, so I can't think she's THAT unpopular among her own party's constituency.

I wouldn't call her a shoo-in by any stretch, of course.  I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me to see a push for it by a younger subset of voters.

I could see neolibs liking Beto.  I just think there might be enough who see him as too soft a target at the general election level.

Sherrod Brown, on the other hand, isn't a bad call.  He could be a legitimate candidate to come from the pack.

The dems would have to make the border a main issue with Beto running.  THat has proven to a loser nationwide.  He loses because of the border

I agree with this for the most part. Looking back when Bill Clinton ran the first and second times, a large part of the reason why he was elected was just because people liked him. He had charisma, told a good story and was often compared to Jack Kennedy. Booker has this aspect.

I personally could never bring myself to vote for Elizabeth Warren. I don't think she could withstand Trump's bullying - at least, not as well as Clinton did.

I also refuse to vote for somebody just because they could be "a first". I really don't care if Elizabeth Warren could crack coconuts with her ass cheeks I wouldn't vote for her just so she could be first woman President. It was the smallest part of why I didn't vote for Hillary.

My God.  If you actually believe this stuff you spout on here, I am sorry for you.  That stuff is batshit crazy son.  You're only creating unnecessary anger and fear in yourself - no way to go through life.
