More or less.

Never, EVER thought I'd say this, but I miss practically every president prior to Trump in my lifetime.  Obama, Clinton, the Bushes, Reagan ... all of them.  They didn't play angry armchair quarterback on social media, any virtue signaling they did was more impersonal, they didn't feel the need to respond and quarrel with every notable voice that disagreed with them, and frankly, they appeared to know the difference between an ideological adversary and an evil villain.

In summation, they acted like adults.  Holy fucking Moses, where have the adults gone in politics?

People are literally scared to death, and they're pissed off about it.  So you get politicians that throw temper tantrums because more and more people are acting like stupid children.

Now it turns out the entire premise of the New York Times article, which they took from a book, PURPOSEFULLY left out the fact that the women who was alleged to have been the victim says it didn't happen. Just another day in your enemy of the people media. These things aren't accidents.

Probably a bit of both. He's a more moderate dem, compared to the rest of the field, which plays well to all but the 10-20% farthest to the left AND he's not Trump, which plays well to a lot of people, even if he is, at heart, the same sort of senile gaffe machine that Trump is.
