Progressives, part 3...

I'm not going to blame the Dems for the Dayton shooting, or the Scalise shooting - crazy people will always find something to channel their anger into.

But fundamental to the progressive movement is resistance and activism.  They form mobs, break shit and assault people.  Point is, I think we are approaching a tipping point for a lot more violence....from the left.  Expect many more protests, and expect them to become increasingly more violent because all the Dems and their media ever do is rationalize how their grievances are justified while ignoring the lawlessness.

Just look at that Democatic Socialist rally and you realize there are a lot of mentally ill people on the radical left.  You've literally convinced these people that Trump and Republicans are an existential threat.  I'm sure they're harmless - let's sit back and see what happens.

Do you think it's going to get a lot worse if Trump wins in 2020?

I think there could be a full-blown mental health crisis if he wins again.  Election night could be like the SB, except I'll be rooting for NE to win.  That trainwreck will be must-see tv.

But that will only accelerate things.  Your SJW's are crying so much about everything that people are becoming de-sensitized to it.  And nothing upsets radicals more than being ignored, so they become more obnoxious and confrontational.

I feel like we kind of saw this with Pelosi where she realized "oh shit the propaganda has worked a little too well and now we have people who can't cope and are becoming a problem".  When idealism turns to disillusion is when you have a real problem, and that's where we're heading.  Democrats are winding people up and they aren't going to solve or fix anything....and then those people are going to explode.

Based on that clip of the DSA convention, I think we're definitely there.

I was just discussing this with a guy in my office today.  I just said what you see now x10.  Biden is running around telling everyone 4 more years of Trump and America as we know it will no longer exists.  We all know what he means by that.

Also while on the subject of Biden what the hell is with his choppers?

Which reminds me......yep, internet still works.  Can we add net neutrality to the chicken little pile yet?

In all fairness, QO said the same thing about Obama if he won his second term.

I mean, I get that the checks-and-balances system doesn't seem like it's completely balanced, but I'd still give it more credit than that.

Also, man, can Tucker Carlson trigger the libs or what?

https://beta.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/tucker-carlsons-claim-that-white-supremacy-is-a-hoax-is-easy-to-prove-wrong-just-watch-his-show/2019/08/07/91ac782a-b90c-11e9-b3b4-2bb69e8c4e39_story.html?outputType=amp

Not a hint of irony or self-awareness in that entire article.  Starts out with re-framing the "Russia hoax" into something that wasn't a 2.5 year running lie in WaPo.  Proceeds to apparently cling to the idea the caravan/border deal was a manufactured crisis.  And eventually gets around to calling a number of un-named Fox people white supremacists, but that seems redundant since she goes on to imply anyone against illegal immigration is a white supremacist.

I'm not surprised that drivel gets printed, but I'm trying to understand how she thinks that tone and rhetoric is at all compelling.  She'd be more persuasive if the article didn't come off as being written by a left-wing version of Tucker Carlson.

QO isn't the front runner candidate for the democrat party nomination.  QO's words are likely heard by a few dozen people.  Big difference.

I'm sure you can find many influential republican political figures who said similar.

I suppose my point was that it's not an unprecedented statement.  You're right, though.  There is certainly a difference.

I keep saying what really ticks off the Dems is that Trump plays their game, and arguably better than they do. Immigration was a winning issue for them.  Trump flipped that.  Middle class wages and jobs was a winner for Dems, and Trump flipped that.  Mueller kind of flipped the Russia issue, and with Trump going after China there's not much ground left for Dems to claim.

Dems constantly divide & demonize while pretending to be "unifying".   And thinking about the above, with Trump claiming so much ground only move Dems had was to go left on healthcare, college tuition, etc...

Lol backlash over who has a passive ownership stake in a gym? Newsflash, most corporation owners/ investors probably don’t have the same politics as you.

Also, the left has already devalued the terms racist and nazi, and now looking to make the term White Supremacist mean nothing. No Warren and Beto (what a clown he’s turned into), Trump is not a white supremacist.

The only difference between white supremacists in this country when we had a black president vs now is the media decided to give them coverage and a platform. It's lost on the media, that they gave a small portion of our population recognition.  Prior to Trump, we would laugh at these clowns.

???

He was always a clown.  The amazing thing is how he ever had any support, at all, and how he raised millions for a campaign.  It'd be great if Corey Booker would punch him.

Well yea, but throughout this presidential campaign he has gone even more crazy. His numbers are horrible.
