If the GOP would have nominated Husted he would have routed Cordray. Sherrod Brown is going to crush Renacci and it may just be enough to pull Cordray across the finish line.

Mike DeWine, quintessential career politician. Sure Ohio has term limits, but they just play musical chairs within the state government with the help of gerrymandering. What is the last year Mike DeWine has not had a taxpayer funded job? Stop the recycling.

It was the 70s or 80s, I believe.

Fivethirtyeight.com has Ohio as a toss-up, but has moved Cordray into the lead with a 55% chance of winning.

I wonder how many govt pensions he's going to retire with?

Don't hate the player...hate the game.

One reason, among many that I am in favor of term limits that extend beyond the job to the individual.  Public service like this should not be a career path.

I'll hate the player AND the game, thankyouverymuch!

It should be noted that the same is true of his opponent, except for a short period of forced labor in the private sector due to losing an election.

It should be noted that the same is true of 90% (or higher???) of our elected public servants.

The Trump magic blows out the polls in Ohio again. Nothing else you can say except that Ohio is officially a red state now and I don't see the Dems doing much campaigning here in the 2020 election.

If it was a red state and not a swing/purple state then why didn't Sherrod Brown lose?

IMO, Brown is more widely known throughout the state, while Renacci's domain is NE Ohio only.

Yet, I get what you mean.....

He's the exception that proves the rule.

Brown/Renacci was considerably closer than expected, TBH. I have to mostly agree with BS here...Ohio is currently at least a pretty red shade of purple.
