I like the fact that the Oakland city council believes it somehow has a roll to play in an event in the Middle East.  Isn’t their city a shit hole?  I’m sure they’ve got plenty to worry about there.   One thing Hamas and the IDF would agree on, if they were to ever hear about this resolution, is their reaction: “Oakland?  What the fuck is that?”

Even the A's are leaving Oakland

lol, the abuse of misplaced empathy is a new form of religion in California.

The Left, in general, has completely convinced their cult that every minority is oppressed and a victim of propaganda from the majority.  Always and everywhere - no exceptions, and to even entertain other explanations makes you insensitive or racist or whatever.

It's a strange hypocrisy when everything else on the Left is about "science", "consensus" and "majority", except with identity politics then it's a right-wing conspiracy of oppression.

I don’t know, being killed for where and when you were born is kind of oppressive

I'd say plenty of both sides killing the other for that very reason.  This is all because of religion and will never be solved.  The fact that the US finances one side is insane to me.  I know its our de facto base of operations in the ME.  But we're backing people who are there because God "promised" them that land versus people who are following a death cult.

If you support and/or harbor terrorists, you're not innocent.  Silence is violence, right?  Or I guess that only applies to, you know, minorities.

Do you really think if Hamas was wiped from that region that Israel is killing Palestinians randomly, much less systematically?

You see, that's how you know which side is good, the one that doesn't indiscriminately kill without provacation.

Children do not harbor terrorists. The IDF is going batshit crazy with way too many civilian casualties. That being said, Hamas has got to go.

Israel is acting more vindictive than strategic, kind of like the US was after 9/11. If they have to go boots on ground and house to house to save civilians, then that is what the need to do

Nah, the Isreali model is to slowly take more and more Palestinian land to where there is no such thing as a Palestinian state in the west Bank and to isolate the people in Gaza.

Also, Israel is well known in its history to assassinate and kill people. A great book on the topic was released a few years ago, Rise and Kill First.

Your line of thinking is also very flawed as the last 20 years have shown us in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, etc in that bombings that kill innocent civilians does more harm than good. Israel is only creating the next generation of enemies with their bombing in Gaza. I know they have to defend themselves, but their actions is the next step in this vicious cycle that is just continuing.

No one and I mean no one is in the right in this conflict. Neither side really wants peace because it means accepting some deep and hard truths about living together that would strip away what both states stand for: Israel as a a Jewish state and the Palestinians right to return.

Indiscriminately killing? Hamas, but killing with what they say is conservative targeting, Israel. But, again, over the last 20 years, any civilians dead do not result in any tangible results.

Israel is just creating the next set of fighters it will go against. It is not a lie. It is the fact of the last 20 years.

This is religious warfare. It’ll never be settled. One side thinks their God prefers them over all others and has “given” them land regardless of who else happened to be living on it.  The other side’s God encourages his people to treat non-believers to bloody death.

Rationalizing with this is a waste of time.  It’s sad to see innocent people killed. But sometimes you have to accept that there is nothing you can do to change it. In a war over batshit crazy religious ideas, it is foolish to see one side as “right” or “wrong”.

Nah, it’s pretty easy. Still hilarious to see clowns supporting Hamas in their shit protests. Good work libs.

If you step away from it, it’s really not.  With the western world’s backing due to a sense of collective guilt, a group was not only allowed to take a former British territory where other people already lived, and form a nation on top of it.  That same nation has since been financed by the western world and provided weapons a hundred-fold versus the people already there.  The people who were already there were forced out of their homes and segregated.

Now how is it in the least surprising that given these circumstances, these people wouldn’t produce some type of terrorist / guerrilla effort?  Sprinkle in two religions that teach in-group superiority at their core, and you have a recipe for trouble.

Do liberals here blindingly back one side?  Clearly.  But in about the same way as the neo-conservative side, and the US government (regardless of party in power) has backed the other.

Yea, that’s accurate probly. But only one side is raping women and killing children face to face. They are animals and need put down. It’s not that hard. My biggest issue is the clown whites and idiots supporting Hamas for no reason other than it’s like BLM and they need an excuse to protest. Go home and stfu. Hilarious the Ivy League people who have been fired from their waiting jobs for supporting terrorists.

Killing children face to face and killing many more the easy way with bombs are two flavors of the same poison.  This is a religious war and I’m sorry we’re involved in it.  Israel forced itself into being on top of already existing people who subscribe to a twisted religion - that’s the Israelis’ problem.  IDGAF about limousine liberals at Ivy League schools any more that I do born again evangelicals who see this as a prelude to end times.  The whole thing is a shitball and there are no “right” sides.
