Lol cheers! They could have had 3 guns per person at wounded knee and would have ended the same way smh

Except there would be more federal troops dead.

Well, this is pretty common sense:

"The bipartisan group of senators said on Sunday that they were working to write legislation that would give more funding to mental-health programs and school security, as well as provide incentives for states to implement and maintain red-flag laws and include juvenile records in background checks for people buying guns who are under 21 years of age."

Unfortunately, they aren't going to raise the age to buy a rifle to 21.  Of course, states can still do that (and several already did back in 2018).  I thought that would have been a no-brainer

I am fairly knowledgeable about guns and gun laws and I did learn something new here.

I didn’t realize that juvenile records weren’t already part of the background check for younger gun owners. That should be common sense, if not there are no just turned 18 year olds that would get rejected by a background check.

That’s gun “control” I am 100% for.

I didn't realize it, either.  I suppose that's what happens [lack of common sense] when you let intractable and unrealistic positions control the debate.

I feel like juvenile records should stop at about the age of 14.

Yes remembering and understanding  history now makes me a psycho.

You know the republic is in danger when the defenders of liberty are chastised, (mis)-labeled, and ultimately censored.

Buckle up.

Band-aids and window dressing, but maybe a few political points.  Real change however, will not be easy.  And that will only occur when the government programs that enable the breakup of the family unit are ended.  When the devaluation of human life is ended.  When lack of respect is ended.  When lack of discipline is ended.  When lack of work ethic is ended.  It's taken several decades of liberal policy to get where we are, and the disturbing results are clear.   MORE government is hardly the answer.  Unfortunately I doubt that we have the fortitude to get to the root of the problem, and truly change things for the better.

Torn on this. It should definitely stick around longer then just disappearing at age 18 but I also don’t want someone to not have the ability to get a job because of a mistake they made at 14. I think group the crimes by severity and some drop off at 18 some at 21 some at 10 years after the crime.

Now your blaming school shootings on welfare?

Nothing is absolute,  if a 16 year old has a domestic violence, statuary rape,  gun charge or some sort of violent felony,  it should 100% be on their adult record.

I’m not opining one way or the other on other gun laws being discussed. But shit, at least enforce one’s we have.

Interesting way to explain it but he’s not wrong.

If it was being realistically proposed to ban all guns, yes his explanation would be correct.  However, that is not the case.

Do you honestly believe Dems wouldn't ban all guns if they had the votes?

As for the video, I was expecting him to go to "imagine if only Darth Vader had a light saber".

Some Dems would try, yes.  Some Repubs would ban teaching of evolution.  Neither of those are realistic outcomes, and are not what people who have influence on success are arguing about.

Boogie reminds me of that guy that gets the remote choke from Darth Vader.

They are proposing banning the specific gun and type of guns. So it is the case.

Just a week or two ago Biden was talking, again, about banning 9mm handguns.  I think he actually said something along the lines of banning ALL semi-auto guns.  Which is like 90% of all guns owned.

He's President.  Is that influential enough for you?
