You don’t know what could happen in let’s say a 15 day waiting period. A shooter could get a new job, meet a girl, find out about a concert he wants to attend in a few months, get killed in a car accident, their parents could find out and report them , others who may want to run out and get a gun may cool off during the two weeks. Who know what could happen but something could. Your not really saying how it hurts anyone to wait two weeks to get your gun

Your logic assumes that every person that is legally purchasing a gun has the motive to commit murder. This is simply not the case for 99% of people who legally purchase a gun.  Also, other than it’s an infringement on 2A rights, flip your logic about that 15 day waiting period.  In those 15 days, a gun could save someone’s own life, save someone else’s life, save someone from rape, save from theft, etc.

I get the point you've been making for several posts.  I don't think Wounded Knee is relevant to this issue we're talking about today.  If you do, fine.

You still haven't answered my question.

If someone bought you a history book, would you find somebody to read it to you?

As riotously funny as that is, I didn't take it seriously.

i know the story of Wounded Knee.  I think it is irrelevant to mass shootings today.  You don't.  Fine, on that we just disagree.

You've made several posts that make it seem as if you trust the government.  It leads one to wonder if you've ever studied history.

I don’t believe school children in the US are in danger of mass murder by the government.

If I’m not mistaken every school in the United States has locked doors and a single entry. All the ones in and around Columbus do that I know of and I’m in a lot of them

1. You're worse at logic than you are history. That's saying something.  We are clearly talking  about the danger of disarming the populace.

2.  The largest mass shooting of school aged children in the history  of our country was done by the US government.

I'm going to put you back on ignore now, I've figured out at this point that you are conservative pretending to be a liberal to make liberals look like idiots.

You keep citing Wounded Knee.  My point is I don’t think that event is relevant to modern school safety.

Okay, for the last time.  I cited wounded for 2 reasons.

1. That is just one of hundreds of examples  of what happens when governments disarm citizens.

2. Idiots like yourself keep blaming mass shootings on AR 15s and saying the government should take our guns.  The government is responsible for the worst mass shooting in US history.  You want them to be the only ones with guns.

The whole point of the thread was what could be done to stop school shootings.  I don’t blame these on guns, but on mentally crazy people.  As an aside, I personally wish there weren’t guns all over our society, but I accept that this is not something that can be changed and is not a solution to this problem.  I’m not sure what else I can say to you beyond this.

Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it is an easy quote to throw around a lot.  The problem with it is pretty much every action has been taken to bad results at some point, so it is not really a good rule to live by, lest your idea is to never try anything.
