Yes and no.

I am libertarian and she is extremely conservative (grew up a preacher’s daughter).

But she is slowly moving more toward the libertarian views (she has started listening to Ben Shapiro).

No.

My wife is a pretty party-line Republican (albeit not a fan of Trump), and I'm just about an anarcho-capitalist.

We both grew up in conservative families but no longer care about party lines. We tend to be in agreement regarding our political views. We certainly agree that our current president is a poor leader.

I have never seen anyone, let alone a President, who is an asshole, terrible leader, a moron who can't shut up on social media, someone who says some of the dumbest things in the history of the office of POTUS, but yet his actual policies are working...it is mind boggling.

Quite the conundrum.  At the end of the day, all that matter are results, and for being a “poor leader”, a helluva lot of good has been accomplished.  And all this despite the immeasurable hate, non-stop derision, and radical resistance.

We will never see such a paradox again.

Except for people in industries damaged by retaliatory tariffs, I generally agree with all of your post.

Well, contrast that with nearly all of mfg industries being brought to their knees over the last 30 years by asinine trade agreements.  I’ll take a little more tariff pain (if there really is any) in return for a much more level overall playing field in the future.

I think you answered your own question.  He's not actually a micro-manager and he's not actually running things or providing oversight - career staffers are doing pretty much what they want unimpeded.

It's more of a lesson on the failures and shortcomings of govt.  Instead of piling on new regulations and oversight to mold the economy into something different, they're mainly getting rid of the failed efforts to do that.

No one with an operating brain.

Granted, it's also not what JMOG said.  But, then, people with operating brains understood

What an unsurprising response from the Young Earth Creationist who is also a libertarian that votes for Democrats and also routinely complains about ad hominem attacks. Maybe one day I can achieve the heights of your intellect!

If you didn’t get the joke I apologize. I thought it was obvious with the “it’s Boat so...” but guess I should have added a smiling emoji.

Lol sort of like you were "just trolling" in this idiotic thread where you linked to fake news about Obama telling Muslim's not to celebrate the fourth of July. And, how funny you even accuse people of ad hominem attacks when they call you out too. Ah good times.

jmog always uses the "just trollin" defense when he fails lol.

Wow, stalker much? You have “jmog” as a file full of links saved somewhere? There probably is some medicine for that. Wonder if you know where I live and I need a restraining order or not?
