Hegseth should sail through confirmation. The Democrats took the bait and largely focused on his shady past instead of his massive lack of experience.
Zero questions on Russia/ Ukraine, China, Israel, Iran, etc or any other large policy issue.
Only 1 question that the largest organization he ever led was 100 people, and never managed or led large complex companies.
Hegseth has backtracked on his women in combat position, as he won't change current policy.

I haven't watched any of it. I probably will, here and there. I know that I've seen right and left pundits saying that he was the most questionable - for the reasons you stated. I actually want to get a good grasp on what he thinks about Israel, Ukraine and so on.
And honestly, the whole "resist orange Mussotrumpler!" has backfired on them so greatly, that they should have gotten right into the meat and potatoes of this and avoided the overdone dramatics.
