Good point.

Also, feels like Mike "never had a losing season" Tomlin

It's dumb as it kind of goes against the whole rebuilding infrastructure part of his platform and administration.

Plus, no one in Congress wants to do it nor do many people in the White House.

I am surprised more people on here aren't for it, as it is taking away a tax, even if it is temporary.

I am all for taking away taxes. But realistically the average person uses about 15 gal a week of gas. That’s like $2.50/week savings or a total of like $30 over the time frame he is talking.

It’s a drop in the bucket.

$8.50/week for someone who uses 15 gal/week.

Except he knows it is dumb. Ohio increased their gas tax a few years ago to pay for improving infrastructure.

ODOT needs the funds to help improve and grow various infrastructure projects including the Brent Spence Bridge.

Initially, I thought "what a disaster".  This was bound to result in even lower approval for Biden.

And then I thought about the political angle.  If it gets rejected in Congress, then Biden will blame Republicans for blocking his solutions.  And if it goes thru, then Biden will blame gas stations for gouging (which he's been teeing-up for months).  So, purely a political calculation.

I doubt it makes hay.  But when you can't actually do anything in the short-term, this is a bold political move.  Nevermind Biden's policies haven't been felt yet, but WILL be felt in the coming years.

He's blamed everyone else, despite his pledge that the buck stops with him.  Nobody is fooled by the bullshit.  This presidency has sunk.

I saw it and did not have to dig at all.

It's bad no doubt. But, it was crickets on here when Trump's notes were way worse.

But, oh we all hate Trump blah blah.

And before this gets taken out of context. I said, this is a bad look for Biden. I am being consistent as both the look for Biden and Trump on notes are horrible.

Except Trump's notes often read like a guy with no filter and trouble showing empathy.  Biden's notes read like a guy who sometimes struggles to remember to wipe his own ass.

I understand twitter just fine.  Bottom line is if your coming up with outrage like this about any politician - left or right - you are seeking said outrage.

I assume every president gets some sort of crib sheet like this.  Who gives a fuck?  The guy’s got enough drawbacks without pretending that something this ordinary is some sort of cataclysmic discovery.

All presidents get notes. Fact. Trump had some handwritten dumb ones. How many presidents gets notes saying “YOU take YOUR seat”. They’re treating him like the geriatric we all observe.

A president does these things everyday.  They’re all somewhat ceremonial, so they’re giving him his steps much like someone gets during wedding rehearsal.  Executives at big corporations get this kind of shit too.

Biden is not a competent president.  But this isn’t an example of that.  If it were, just about every executive and political leader would be judged the same.

My point wasn’t to defend Biden’s competence.  But rather to point out the time and effort politically radicalized will put forth to hunt down minuscule details in an effort to prove something.  Reminds me of soccer players getting bumped and then falling down in screaming pain.
