I would think that disqualifies someone from being on the editorial board (hell, most professional jobs).  People are entitled to their opinions....doesn't mean they can't be objective, but the amount of vitriol and bias there says she's probably not capable of objectivity.

Will be interesting to see what happens, as those tweets appear to have been scrubbed?  (they all say "archive")

Also, I had to google it, but I remembered that the NYT hired and fired someone within a day earlier this year.

That sounds not terribly dissimilar from this lady, except she's more than just "racist by association".

But lol about NYT being objective.  They pretend to be, and were the gold standard until they lost their shit over Trump.  It's a good thing newspapers are dying because there doesn't seem to be much appreciation for diversity of opinion.

No, I think they're saying "since white males can't be discriminated against, you get a pass".  It's the sort of thing 90% of males who aren't racist or misogynst find offensive.

What a bullshit excuse....was she only "imitating" racist white males, or was that an assumption she made about her detractors?

If you aren’t white you can do and say whatever you want if you work for a left leaning garbage profession. Maybe it is bc of twitter, but I’ve never seen more division.

Pretty much, and it is always hilarious to see these people move the goalposts to justify their hypocrisy. 

This NYT reporter is a real gem - that is a very unhealthy amount of hate for one person.  I'd guess she's also an anti-gun crusader, and she's someone who probably should not be allowed to own a gun.

I don't know that anyone has considered the NYT objective in the last few decades. 

Saw on Twitter where earlier this year, nurses in Australia have to acknowledge their white privilege to patients who are indigenous people.

He said that was correct, but there’s no requirement to “announce” anything. The nurses must simply abide by the new code which state clearly that “cultural safety is as important to quality care as clinical safety”.

If you are a patient of any sort at a hospital, I cannot believe that the ancestral background of your nurse(s) is important.

I'm thinking this might be kind of similar to the 60's "flower child" movement.  The internet helps fuel this garbage, and also makes it seem like a much bigger deal than it is.  But I think the social justice movement runs out of steam...and when you start crying about where people who identify as a different gender can pee, you've probably jumped the shark.

Arguably the pushback has already started with the election of Trump.  The people above want to convince everyone Trump's election was about racist white males, but it's really about rejecting identity politics.

ironic that the whites in australia are all pretty much descendents from the prison colonies that populated the island.  Nothing says white privilege like being a prisoner.
